Conflicting Ideas · 11:38pm Nov 14th, 2016
Do any other authors ever get writers block from two or more conflicting ideas, to the point where you end up writing very little? I have at least two stories that I know how to complete, yet I have STILL started a new one because the idea really grabbed me!
The story I have begun is called "The Iron Mule", which will be an adventure/horror story focused around a trio of Night Guards and a tribal mountain Griffon investigating the disappearance of railway workers, half way through the construction of the rail link between the Crystal Empire and Griffonstone. I love both lovecraftian horror and narrow gauge railways, so I've wanted to write something that combined the two for ages, especially after seeing some amazing art on Deviant art depicting an Equestrian Version of narrow gauge (closer together track) engines you would find in Wales.
Yet with both "Sacred & Wild" AND "Dance of Death" still unfinished with the ideas to do so sitting in my head, it's difficult to motivate myself to complete these existing works, especially because I get inspiration from so many sources. I've even considered turning "The Iron Mule" into a more heroic fantasy based tale, since after playing the new WoW expansion, I want to return to my roots where I wrote original fantasy short stories!
So I would like you, my followers, to help me decide. Which story should I focus all of my efforts on finishing first? "Sacred and Wild", "The Iron Mule", or "Dance of Death"? Any help on getting SOMETHING completed would be super helpful.
I found you due to Sacred and Wild but do not mind waiting for it to complete and love your writhing style so will soon hopefully read it all and pace my self anyways. I will be content with whatever you decide, I currently am invested in Scared and Wild as that is what I have time for atm, but you should write what will keep you motivated as a writer imo.
I like your story Sacred and Wild and I hope you continue that one.But which ever one you want to spend your time on is okay.
