Progress Report 12 Nov 2016 (Now Streaming!) · 4:53am Nov 13th, 2016
Chapter is nearly ready. Will probably be posted within the next few days. More writing will happen tonight.
I don’t like to talk politics on this blog… so I won’t. Much as I want to vent.
The apnea machine I got has not worked out so far… because I never fall asleep with it on. I’m still working on pulling that part off. I bet it would help if I could just get to sleep…
I’m going to ATTEMPT to stream playing a video game. I figure that whenever I'm being lazy and playing a video game, I might as well stream it. I have no webcam, but I do have a mic, so we’ll start with that. Dunno how long I’ll be doing it. Probably a few hours, but interruptions can happen, so we’ll see.
Tonight’s game is Tales of Zestiria on PC, with a New Game +. https://www.twitch.tv/cvbrony Will be streaming very shortly. Come watch me be terrible!
EDIT - Stream done for now. Will do more in the future!

I feel your pain; I have mild-moderate sleep apnea, but I'm too hypersensitive to get to sleep with any of the devices.
If you have Hearts of Iron 4 the Holy League of Finland-Poland is totes recruiting
Try to think of it like a calming nighttime hug for your face.
I have fairly severe apnea, and the CPAP machine is a godsend. I've been using it for almost eight years now, and it's made such a difference in my life. A single night without it, and I'm practically dragging my tired flank into work and propping my eyes open with toothpicks.
A lot of sleep specialists like to tell you that you should use the ramp feature to slowly work up to full pressure. But as long as it has the automatic cut-out when you exhale, that's not really necessary. I just turn it on at regular pressure, and go right to sleep. I also trained myself to wake me if I fell asleep without it, which has saved me many otherwise wasted nights.
As for the mask, there's many types, so don't feel like you have to live with the nasal thingie if it isn't working. I use a full mask, because I sometimes open my mouth when I sleep, and that short-circuits the airflow, causing other problems I don't need to deal with. I tried the Liberty nasal pillow with mask option, and it worked for years, but my nose hurt when I woke up. So the face mask is what I settled with.
That said, there are many different makes and models, some of which take up a lot of your face, and some are much smaller. Personally, if you want to try the face mask option, I recommend the Quattro series. It's small, covers what it has to, and minimizes the impact on the rest of your face and head, allowing you to shift in your sleep if you do that (I do,) without pulling the mask off.
Also, if you sleep with a regular pillow and the mask keeps coming loose, you might want to pick up an orthopedic pillow. You can get them at the same place you get your machine. It's basically contoured so that the mask hose doesn't get caught in the pillow if you shift while you sleep.
Good luck with the machine!
