Unless they have an IP detector. I don't think this feature will last long because people will just keep making more and more accounts until you have like 100 twitter accounts. I wouldn't do it and I'm sure many people on this site wouldn't either. But you know people are going to exploit it no matter what if it's an option and there's not much one can do to stop it.

Perhaps. I don't know what kind of back-end they have on it, but I presume they'd have something there to help detect and prevent abuse.
In any case, I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

I'm pretty sure they just mean that sharing helps you get exposure and more potential supporters. That $1 figure is probably an average based on who knows what data.
