Lone

Ah, the great and powerful coming-of-age story. A staple of media. Stories of a young, child-like, character who matures into a respectful, levelheaded person. Or, in this case, pony.

So, onto the story idea. A 16-year old pegasus, named Lone, has grown up his entire life in an orphanage just outside of Baltimare. The night before his sixteenth birthday, he makes a connection between a symbol on the back of a broken compass that was left in the blanket he as found in, and an old village tradition. The village is located in the Crystal Mountains. The entire thing would last for, in-universe, 5 years as Lone travels across Equestria searching for his parents.

So, do you guys think this would be a good story.
