Because I'm pretty sure informing you that something that doesn't exist will probably continue not existing counts as one. Here's a link to the little bit that does, because I feel bad about leaving a pseudo-promise here and not delivering. (It's a small experiment in pony JRPG battle mechanics, for those who are understandably wary of downloading random undescribed files. Z/X are confirm/cancel, A/S/D/C are useless text stuff, Up/Down are navigation, F4 is window size.)
I tried explaining why it stopped at that point two weeks ago a few times, but I couldn't do it satisfactorily and got distracted in the middle, twice. If anyone is actually curious, here's an open invitation to inquire; it might help me understand better myself.
Anyway, (potentially relatedly), I did enjoy working on it, and I think I'd like to make some kind of game-thing, even if it might not be that one. If anyone in my hypothetical audience (yay puns) considers themselves a pixel artist, I could use graphical help; additionally, I think working directly with someone else would help pace myself and not give up a few weeks in. Maybe.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what I'm doing next. I guess I could try writing another fanfic, but there's no way any of you could want that, right?
Nice game! I know you know this already, but I got through a battle without losing a single pony!
Do what you feel like doing. Work on a new game? Go for it! Write another story? Looking forward to it! There are so many possible ways to express your fanboyism that the real problem is choosing what to do.
Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be awesome!
