I lost my voice after my high school production of Little Shop of Horrors, where I was the Plant. Loads of fun, did severe damage to my throat and voice, though. Improper vocal technique. But it was totally worth it, cause the show was kickass. I've lost my voice countless times since I'm also prone to sore throats, which sucks balls.

I know how it feels. Sorry that happened.

Drink plenty of water. Tea usually helps a lot. Cough drops are good too. Above all, don't speak unless you have to, or you know you're getting better. Speaking when your voice is raspy will only make it worse. That's my advice to you.

I've been there before. Lost my voice after going on this insane train roller coaster ride with my GF's family 2 years ago. Couldn't talk for about two weeks.
