I fucked up · 5:21pm Oct 4th, 2016
Bad news, my laptop is temporarily broken. Because I spilled shit on my laptop keyboard it's essentially started acting like it's haunted; the keys LED lights underneath flash on and off, it keeps typing 9 over and over (hitler's up to his old tricks again), some letters type a string of other shit(Y equals to 7)d now for some fucking reason) and so on. Software wise it's fine so I should have the keyboard fixed soon but I'm going into my final tests for highschool before Uni so I'm going to be very busy for this month. All in all, progress on chap 4 of Hierophant's Problem is grinding to a halt temporarily; shame too, I was 3/4 done :/. Fret not though, I saved all my progress and I might be able to work on it on my phone since I got Gdocs downloaded. Sorry for the shit news, but trust me I'm hating myself as much as you are. Be back with good news soonish I hope.
Oh geez, my sis had a similar problem. You're either going to have to replace the motherboard or get a new computer entirely. Your files are fine unless you did something to the hard drive. But on the bright side, you were able to save your progress. That's always important.
I have hade nothing but issues with any laptop I have owned. They usually quit working after a few years. Been on an IPad for three years and have not looked back.
Nein!Nein!Nein!Nein!Nein!Nein!
Keyboards usually removed and replaced very easily. Just look for youtube videos for your model.
New keyboard costs around $10-$15 from China.
They can be even repaired, but usually it takes several hours just to remove all buttons and take membranes off. Only to find that tracks are dissolved by tea. Though I succesfully repaired a lot of them when new ones were unavailable.
