Hmmm, I need something. · 6:46am Sep 15th, 2012
I was on the cusp of a big release, then I kind of just...stalled. I think I know what's wrong, I think I'm worrying too much about the pressure, about your guys and making the best stories I possibly can. Which is awful because that leaves you guys hanging while I write, and rewrite chapters. I think I've gotten to caught up in trying to do everything I can and not doing what I can. Every time I try to put words down I think about what everyone who's already reading stories and how they'll take this or that. Thus I freeze up and don't do much of anything. What I need, is to have fun with writing again. I need to go forth and not think about what I'm doing, just do it, that's what bred the writing that got me here, and that's what I need to do. So, to get myself back into a writing mood, I'm going to do a one shot, just for fun, no other reason, I'm going to write until I'm tired and post what comes out. Then I should get the creative juices flowing and you'll be returned to your regularly scheduled program.
Onwards and Upwards!
WEll Squak, hope this fixes your writers block then (?)
That's the spirit
Do it! Dickens wrote "A Christmas Carol" in about a week between his novels, as a way to more or less pay the bills. It was a one-shot by his standards. The fact is he kept writing and making new stories and his fans and followers picked what was his greatest work. So write on! <-Get it?
Keep Calm and Canter on

yeah Do IT! Squeak!
I tend to be a perfectionist at heart. I find I set unrealistic goals for my work. I find getting an outside opinion from someone I trust helps me to realize my work is not as bad as I think it is. Maybe having some trusted pre-readers can help you to gauge whether what you have is good enough.

Good luck then.
Squeak is letting his creative juices flow? Celestia help us all. The awesome you create is entirely too likely to blow up the world.
((Good on ya! Can't wait to see what you churn out. ))
I look forward to this one-shot! Your stuff is always so good. You sound like you already know what you're doing, so let me just repeat a few things to be encouraging.
You are a good writer! You're my personal favorite! Trust your instincts. They got you this far with many, many wonderful stories, and it's proof that when you stop thinking about what we think, then you create awesome stuff.
Okay, I hope that wasn't too . What I simply mean to say is relax. You're awesome. You can do it and whatever you decide to write will be as awesome as all the stuff you've done yet. Good luck!
A story you don't have to try hard to perfect sounds like a great way to relieve stress.
Also sounds like such a story would have be ludicrous and zany
