    Guess Who's Back!

Well now, it's been a VERY long time hasn't it?

I hope you've all been well in the time I've spent away. For me, it's been one rollercoaster of a year. I've moved home twice, got a new girlfriend, a new job, a pay-rise - things have been nuts!

    Also, NAME CHANGE! :D

    2014 Sucks

This year has been horrible for deaths. We lost Robin Williams, Richard Attenborough, Rik Mayall, Joan Rivers, Casey Kasam (Shaggy from Scooby Doo), Bob Hoskins and Sid Caeser to name a few.

I bet you're probably sick of seeing these blogs by now.

The last blog I posted, I guess I posted it to try and boost myself to start writing again. It's been over two years now and before this point, apart from the odd spark here and there, I never truly found the courage and determination to fully commit to it again. Since last year, a lot has changed. Lost opportunities, new paths taken and a bright new future to look forward to.

Recently, my job has been kind of fluctuating between amazing and downright tedious. Some days can turn out pretty awesome, like today did. But some make me wish I was hiding in my bed waiting for the sun to go down. I suppose that's the way work works, it's designed to make you stressed, worn out, and wondering if there's something so much better you could be doing. Working a 45-50 hour week in front of a computer and taking calls from customers every 3 minutes grains on the mind.

I mean, some days I'd come home feeling right as rain and I'd have an awesome evening talking to friends, gaming or going down the pub. Then there's other days where I'd come home and all I'd do is flop onto my bed and end up with a greasy kebab in one hand and a can of beer in the other....um...that's only happened once. Twice....ok, it's frequent! >.<

But, all that changed in the past couple of months. I got a second wind in the most amazing of ways.

I proposed to my girlfriend and she said YES!!!

Words cannot describe what a turning point this has made in my life. I finally have a goal, a destination. I finally have the strength to look at all the amazing possibilities life can throw at me. I guess since turning 27 I've felt a new kind of maturity about myself. I've started looking for houses to move into so I don't have to flatshare anymore, I've started saving money and I've managed to book a little holiday for me and my partner as an engagement celebration. Going off to Edinburgh for a few days next week which'll be amazing - maybe I'll get to see that old git GeodesicDragon, it's been way too long, we need to grab a drink!

So, here's what I'm planning to do. The creative juices are making their way back to me so I've started a little something.

That's right, Good Things Come is FINALLY getting an update. I know it's been a freaking annoyance with me delaying this but I've got my first boost in a long time and I'm starting to get some stuff done. I'm trying to aim for at least 200 words a day so this chapter may not be out for a month or two yet, maybe sooner. I bet once I really get into it, I'll be able to do much more every night.

In the mean time, what I'd like to do is a little Q&A with you all. Over the next week or so, whilst I'm away on holiday, if you fancy asking a question, feel free to ping me over a PM and I'll be happy to answer anything you throw at me! I'll be answering these questions on Monday 3rd October.

Also, I've now tagged my Twitter on my profile page so if any of you, for some strange reason, want to see what a spud-faced loony does on a daily basis, now you can :P

All the best guys, I hope this time I can bring myself back for good!

Congratulations on the engagement my friend

congratulationsfor you, little guy !

Congratulations.

Sweet action dude, congratulations on the engagement,. That's awesome.

An update and Sweet Tale's getting married? :yay::yay::yay:

Congrats again on the engagement!

And you're finally writing again? Good, maybe this means I'll get to write more sex scenes. :raritywink:

Too right we do, mate. But, alas, time and money are two things I don't have at the moment. Plus there's the fact I can't get out of work, as it would be far too short notice for them.

However, if you find somehow yourself passing through my neck of the woods (that is to say, if you get well and truly lost), then you know where to find me... at least, I think you do.

And less of the 'old,' you cheeky sod. I'm only two years older than you.

Congratulations! :D

Congratulations dude.

Congratulations dude.

The update never came...

I'm guessing that he simply moved on with life since he never came back...

Maybe or something bad happen to him
Is sad to see creativity to die

Eight years later and the update never came. It's sad to see the story die, Good Things Come was one of my favorite Luna romances when I was first getting into the fimfiction scene, but I can't blame him. Many people here write for themselves, not for the reader, and so only write for as long as the spark is there. There's nothing wrong with that, after all, it inspires my own spark and gives us characters we love to continue our own stories for in our imagination.

Wherever life took you, Sweet Tale, I hope you're happy and living the best you can. Good Things Come indeed.
