I really hate doing this sort of thing, but I haven't been able to get things rolling on my own, and I can't take it anymore. As shown in my last blog post, I have been trying to make a YouTube channel for quite some time. However, my current subscribers haven't been watching any of my stuff or giving me feedback, my friends haven't been helping me with anything like they were going to. So, this is my last option. I need some help.
Now, obviously there is an advantage to this here, as well, or I wouldn't bother. The main problem I'm having, other than no views, is my dad. He insists on me finding a normal job, in addition to school, on top of trying to make YouTube work. Of course, this means that I don't have the time or energy for writing, so if I can get enough people watching to be able to make money, I can get him off my back about it and get back to writing more regularly. I have been writing when I can, but even a few months after moving, I've barely gotten anything done on any of my stories.
So, what exactly do I need? First, I need viewers. Without people watching and commenting, I can't know whether I'm doing things correctly. I need feedback in order to make good content, and feedback comes from the audience. In addition, I need people spreading the word about the channel. It won't expand otherwise. Finally, once I've got content that people enjoy, I need to start making money. I refuse to ask for payment for content people don't like, which is why I won't open any kind of payment option for my writing. I don't find my stories to be high enough quality, and I know I don't write fast enough to put out new chapters on a regular basis.
With all that in mind, I made this post as a last-ditch effort to find some new viewers to help me out. For anyone interested in helping me out and watching some new gaming videos and streams, my channel is called Hitbox Entertainment. If you like what is already there, or if you have faith in my ability to make things you will like, please subscribe, watch some stuff, and leave any feedback you have. If you would prefer to see what I can do in the stream right away, I will be doing one today, Sunday, at 4:00, YouTube willing. I wasn't able to do it on Friday like I normally do because of technical voodoo issues. Also, I'll be doing another stream on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30, and I'll be doing a launch stream for Rise of Iron pretty much all day Tuesday. I hope at least a few of you will find it to be worth your time, because I really want to be able to get back to writing on a daily basis again.
As I said before, I hate doing this sort of thing. I prefer to earn my viewership rather than beg for it, but the way YouTube works is not nearly as generous to new creators as this site is, and desperate times call for desperate measures, so I finally gave in and made this. Sorry, but I this is literally my childhood dream job, and I don't want to deal with another regular job that saps all of my creative abilities. I want to be able to finish the stories here, too, but I have ideas for other stories as well, and a normal job prevents me from doing much of anything creative. Thank you for reading this, and I hope this didn't seem overly presumptuous.

Yeah, but as I said, I prefer to make things that are worthy of notice, rather than bring notice to something by force. It just makes me feel like a cheater.

I'll try to check in the morning, but I do have one bit of advice that might help even if it isn't a problem now (I haven't seen your channel so I can't say either way): do not compartmentalize yourself into one game or game type. You won't get as many viewers as a more rounded channel, and the followers you do have might leave if you try to branch out. I recall it happening to Yamimash with FNaF clones. At the same time, don't be afraid to run a series on a game that you like. Or, you know, do what you want. I'm not a successful youtuber, so I may not be the best advice-giver.

I do various games, yeah. I'll usually run a single game for a while if it's particularly good, but I switch things around rather frequently otherwise.

Kinda late to the party but I checked out your channel. As someone that used to make LP themself you're not bad. I might sejust doing a ull game before you start another unless you're just doing a one off to just show off the game or need a video and just throw something together. Ether way I subbed, I guess we'll see ware this goes.
