... because this week is not off to a promising start...
So "today" being Friday (yes, I'm aware it's after midnight and technically that means it's Saturday now), it was the first day of my work 'week', so let's just pretend it was Monday for me... In typical Monday fashion, things went horribly awry in pretty much every way possible.
So I headed out to the car at 13:15 CDT to go to work... Well my windbreaker got caught as I was getting into the car, so I fussed a bit and wound up flipping the left side of my jacket... Which sent my e-cig flying out of the pocket to smash the pyrex on the pavement.
That was "Fffuuuuuuuuu--" Moment #1.
Okay... Breathe Witchy... It's okay... Call Fiancé up to gripe and it turns out that there's a spare tank that he has at the house! Well... it's too late for me to turn around and get it, because I refuse to be late for work, so Fiancé says he'll get it, put a new coil in and prime it with his fluid... It was then that I realized that I didn't have my e-cig purse (that which carries the spare coils for my tank and my fluid... So I tell him to grab that instead and bring it with him.
He looked, but couldn't find it where I thought it was...
And here we have "Fffuuuuuuuuu--" Moment #2.
Okay... That's fine... I can live with vaping Kakute... Yes it has mango overtones, but there are worse things in the world... I can survive one shift on it... Test it out and all I taste is mango and burning... Which means it's a bad coil, despite being brand new/fresh.
Add in that it turned out that my e-cig purse was in Boss-MomCord's car, and we now have "Fffuuuuuuuuu--" Moment #3.
Alright... Fine... MomCord brought it over to Fiancé, and Fiancé brought it over to me (driving out of his way, again) because MomCord gave him gas money. Finally... Everything's better on the e-cig front... I swap out for a new coil, dumping the Kakute back into the bottle and switching to my higher-nicotine pomegranate fluid... Blissful relief from the nic-fits...
I have audiobooks... I have a metric ton of sudoku books... I have food... Everything's finally turning out okay...
And then 2200 rolls around... and Newbie isn't there...
This isn't right... Newbie is reliable... Newbie is not normally late... And of course I don't have Newbie's contact info because MomCord hasn't given it to me...
At ten-after, I get a call, and it's Newbie... Apparently, he overslept his alarm (turning it off in his sleep) and had only just left, meaning he'd be there in about twenty minutes.
And this is now "Fffuuuuuuuuu--" Moment #4... Why? Because by that point, I was exhausted, I had a shitty tank that wants to leak e-cig fluid all over my hand and battery, and I still had to drive up to my parents' house because we had to return the car we'd borrowed from them, adding at least forty minutes to my homeward-bound commute.
Needless to say, once this whole ordeal was completed, I faceplanted into bed. I meant to only sleep for about an hour-forty, but wound up tacking on another hour-fifteen because I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep... Because I am the freaking QUEEN of doing that sort of thing (which is why I wasn't mad at Newbie, along with the fact that he was super apologetic about it and had actually called me to let me know, unlike of SOMEONE I could name)...

So Yeah... Week = Not Off To A Good Start

Alas... If only I could... Due to it being the aforementioned "Monday", I work the next four days too... This bodes either spectacularly unwell, or spectacularly well, for the rest of the 'week'...
