    New Story out now!

Hey everyone! Remember that thing I said I'd be doing a while back? Well... Here it is!

    Hey guys! What's new?

So, I haven't been here in a good long while. I got the writing itch a while back, specifically for ponies and my old Betaverse fics. I might have something in the pipeline. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask the general pony-reading audience if you don't mind. Just so I can see if my writing style should be tweaked a bit for the modern audience.

    Stardrop's Lackluster Ending

Hello everyone. I know I've been away for a while, but that's due to me deciding to finish stories before I post them to revise, edit, and alter them to give you all better stories to read. I don't feel free to do so when I post stories live. This results in me getting frustrated with how a story is shaping up and then dropping it. That wasn't a problem when I was younger, but it's become one as

Anyone know artists who do illistrations for stories?

I'm low key working on a story which I intend to complete before posting. I'm enjoying being able to go back and improve, tweak, and change things to make the best possible version of the story, and it's nice to not feel like I am bound to a strict schedule of uploads.

A metatextual analisis of "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" to show how it fits in the series timelines

A lot of people like the rebooted XCOM series, and a lot of people also insist its lore is bad/nonexistent. This isn't true in my opinion, but is the product of the game that sets up the world for the series having been released a year after the first game in the series as a prequel, and also it sucks ass to play. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a good game. At all. The story is really good,

Time problems · 9:54pm Sep 13th, 2016

It would seemthat my viewership has dropped recently. I suppose it may be possible that I post at times where my readers don't notice my posts. As such, I would like you guys to answer two simple straw polls for me so I can find the best window to post in. You can also comment your answers if you'd like to.

What is your timezone?
When do you like to read?

You post at three in the fucking morning and to live in the same time zone as I.
Starting in a week I am going to be having an eight am class five days a week. I can't stay up that late.
But I honestly didn't think it mattered, since if it's tracked people could just read it later.

4208397 I try to time things so my fics don't get too buried in other updates :P

Also I post at midnight my time, so you are actually in a timezone three hours ahead of me. Alaska is GMT -9.

I live in Arizona, a place where day light savings aren't a thing, so I couldn't say the times zones for the life of me. The good stories rarely ever update,(except you, your the wonderful exception) so I'm excited to see a notification when I look. And I specifically look for your stories in my "feed" first.:rainbowwild:
As for the view count, I have no Idea. Your stories are as great as ever.

4208487 Thank you very much ^^ That means a lot to me and I needed to hear it today. I'm weird in that um, I like to keep data on viewership, comment frequency, things like that. The last five posts have had a drop in views by 18% on average and I'm trying to work out why :c

It's good to know that people care for my stories ^^

I live in PA, which is like GMT-4 I think. (It was my vote) But I usually read....whenever I get the chance, although that's mostly night or late night.:rainbowwild:

I live in MO. No sure what time zone I'm in

4208528 It's okay, I'm aware of what they US timezones are. YOu are at -6, so that's 3 hours ahead of me. How's 6:24 going for you? Anything I should be ready for in the next three hours? :trollestia::rainbowlaugh:

4208542 Fine with me. Even though I check my notifications when I wake up.

It also might have to do with the fact that your latest story is an OC and a changeling. Those type of characters are usually not as popular. Most fans like to have a protagonist that is at least of the background ponies or the main cast. Or at least highly involves ponyville characters. But what do I know just my two cents.

4208580 I'm well aware of that :) That drop is accounted for by my data. My core audience has always been built around changebugs though, and the numbers show that they at least are still here and happy. (Yes I track comment numbers, readership over time, ect... Mostly because I'm a dork.) There's something else here and I want to know what it is.

Im on est time GMT -4 Checking in from the state of NJ. Due to having no life I read around the clock.

With the magic that is Daylight Savings Time (the horrific, dark magic that it is), it's currently GMT-4 here. The trouble I have is that I am usually at work when I see a story update, which can make commenting rather difficult (I mean seriously, quoting text is horrible on a phone screen, no less referencing multiple quotes in text and from comments). Your stories are in the small pool I actually monitor for updates, so usually coming back to comment later isn't a problem.

<speculation>
My guess (given absolutely no data whatsoever) would be that your previous story build up steam over its duration, which had no real carry over to the new one since it isn't really a sequel. The drop could be from the people who were specifically into the premise of Lyra-7%, but left when it was done since, at a glance, everything posted afterwards is unrelated to it.
</speculation>

4208592 I've only been to Jackson, NJ. I hope that it's nicer there than the joke simply.

4208611 ....

/me facedeskes then takes down the SciTwi conspiracy wall in progress.

Yes, that would be it.

4208620
*pats back* There there, we all use excessive data to over-analyze a problem from time to time. I assume you found some data that agrees with my theory? :twilightblush:

4208660
No joy in problem solving? :derpytongue2:

There's not really anything to be bummed about. It's the same sort of problem video game streamers have. Viewership climbs for the duration of a game, but drops any time the game isn't currently being played. If there is a break, the match ends, or any other sort of transition where gameplay stops for any non-zero length of time, and people will invariably drop off to find something else. Tis the consequence of drawing a larger audience, methinks. Build past your core audience, and you'll get people who stop by to see what the fuss is about before moving on.

4208682 I suppose, but I always love it when someone new enters the good old regular comments hall of awesomesauce.

I'm still reading, just a little burnt out on commenting.

4209048 No big :) I mean, you commented on every single chapter for every single story for over a year. That's pretty damn good. Thanks for letting me know, i was getting a bit worried due to the norm being broken.

when i see it i normaly read then, unless I have work or im playing a game with friends, sleep read fics and work. that is my life

4209173 You have more going on than me there. But at least it means I can write a lot for ya.

I know I'm not reading much right now because I went on vacation and other people didn't let me read :(

4209219 No problem. I just noticed an 18% drop in views is all. It's not like I noticed 3-5 :P

Not sure entirely what time I am at(live in Utah so mountain standard time?) As for when I tend to read it varies to when I have time, usually either around 1 pm my time or 10pm my time?

4209181 though i have been meaning to ask, with the last 2 stories, they are in the same univers but are one shot stories that will not have a continuation, but are still cannon?
all the note on the story did was confuse me but that probably cause im dislexic

4209726 Yeah. All of my stuff is in the same universe as long as the description contains [Equiverse B]. I did have to reboot it once, but I do a single world, with each story showing you another slice of it.

I've been having to work around being banned from computers
and I now work on the weekends for full days
sorry :/
