I'm finally back in the states! After 7 months in sh*tty Afghanistan, I've finally made it back. And everything is an episode of nightmare before Christmas.

Yeah. It's weird. But the bad news is that when I took my laptop to get the port fixed, turns all the dust of Afghanistan has crudded up my motherboard and it had to be replaced.
$650 (so far)
Joy.
But they're rushing it, so by this time next week (I hope) I'll be back to writing, my new wifi with my sexy new modem/router will be fully installed, all my household goods will be returned, and I'll be a new man again.
Or at least until we go back out into the field in a month for a week of gunnery excercises.
