I never really talked about Friendship Games and here's why · 7:03pm Sep 8th, 2016
Because to me there was practically nothing to talk about. I could sum up the movie in a single word.
Boring.
The only thing I even remotely remember from the whole thing was "Unleash the Magic". That is IT.
Honestly though, it was a losing battle. The previous movie, Rainbow Rocks, is clearly the best of the entire series of Equestria Girls movies. The first one always holds a special place to me because it's the first one, but it was basically just testing the waters to go with a new gimmick. Rainbow Rocks actually did something with it.
Friendship Games is just not that interesting a movie to me though. I don't know what happened but it was just a let down almost beginning to end.
I know basically nothing about Legends of Everfree so maybe it will do better. I don't know, Friendship Games just lowered my expectations for the EG movies.
Same here, if they hadn't left the original idea they had, it might have been a better movie. There is cut content that they wanted to go with, which was about Sunset being home sick, as well being more of both Sunset & Twilight movie than magic.
They had even different ending, which Twilight stayed at Crystal High to share friendship.
