Nova Digi Log: Losing Interest · 1:55pm Aug 24th, 2016
Hey, subscribers.
So, the title says it. I'm slowly losing interest in this story. It was supposed to be my biggest project, but it doesn't seem to be getting a much support and popularity as I thought. If you truly, honestly want to see this go on, leave your comments down below. If there's anything you want me to do, change, improve, etc to make it better, leave a comment.
Sayonara~!
The real question is, what do you want to do? Do you like this story? Do you like writing it? Do you want to give it a proper finish?
This is your story and you decide where it goes and where it ends.
And if at least 1 person got enjoyment out of it, I think that makes it worth it.
4168965 I like it, but the Phantom Thief theme isn't flowing as well as I thought.
4168969 maybe sleep on it, give it a bit more thought, maybe even put it on hold until the juices start flowing again
It doesn't matter what others think, it's what you think, I'd keep writing even if no one read my story. I'm writing for me, and you should to.
4169199 Well, it's just that I don't want to spend more time on something no one is reading. Harmony Gems is doing much better overall, so it's a tough call.

Well take what I said to heart, what should matter most is if you find writing the story fun.
4169260 I just feel like the plot for The Phantom Thief would end up being underwhelming and completely unrelated to the rest. If I continue, I may just end it here and skip right to Guardian Trials.
4169274
Well So long as it's satisfying all is well in my opinion.
4169368 Thanks. But what's your honest opinion on it so far?
4169199
This! Ten thousand times this doubled!
Nice dubs, btw.
4169464
lately I've had little time for reading due to work, I've only read the first three chapters so I cannot make a complete opinion, though so far I like it.

Thank you. No one is getting paid here so this writing should be for pleasure
4169563
You're most welcome and you're quite right! Save for those writers who're doing some kind of Patreon fund raising, none of us get paid.
For me it's both a pleasure and a deeply abiding passion. It's in my blood and it will never leave me.
Although, I will admit, if I ever did get paid for doing what I do I'd be both very surprised and pleased but I'm not holding my breath on that one, I'm just going to go on having fun with it for as long as it goes on being fun.
4169573
Yeah, I'd like to get paid but I know the chances of that are slim to none, and slim is on his deathbed. I use to hate writing but somewhere along the line it became something i did with passion. I hope I don't lose interest before my work is complete

Well, you could always try starting up a Patreon account and slowly build on that. I know of a few hobby writers who did that and, after a few years, they're doing pretty well, now. No, they're not making tons of money, nobody does (except famous published writers) but it's a good way to make a few extra coins out of what you do and get your name spread around a little more, too.
4170929 Have one. No patreons.
4170929
Thanks. I'll consider it, might help,
4171071
Hey, at least, it can't hurt.

Very true

Everything takes time.

I'll tell you both a little story...
I've been doing my comics now for years and, at one point, I had one loyal, avid reader. Yep! That's right! One!
It was like that for a about three years, no other readers other than that one.
Well, I kept writing stories, kept adding chapters to those stories and just kept on, all for that one loyal, faithful reader!
As I've learned over the years, it takes time to build a following but my steadfastness and resolve finally paid off.
At this point I have about fifteen thousand followers/fans.
(Yes, you read that right!)
All I can say is love what you do, do what you love, build your skills and just keep on doing what you're doing.
