"State of the Frissy" Address!

Hey there everyone, I know it's been a while. I wanted to kind of touch base and lay out a few things that have been going on with me. I know it's been quite a while since I've updated a story, or even shown my face around here.

Well, not too long after I last posted, I got a promotion at work. For the most part, yays all around! Only problem being that even more of my little free time has now been taken up by my responsibilities there. D: These days I feel like when I do have time off I usually don't even have time to remember to write anything before it's over.

In all honesty another big chunk of the reason I hadn't written in a while was because of Overwatch. I know, I know. A friend goaded me into playing over and over until I caved, and the rest was history. Bright side is I've since given the game up. Competetive games, especially shooters, I find turn me into someone I don't want to be, so I've sworn off them for good.

Most of you are probably wondering now, "What does this mean for Adjacency, or the prospects of future stories or sequels from me?" -- or you've already given up a sigh and thought "Aww man, I've heard this speech before..."

First things first: Adjacency WILL be finished. I don't care how long it takes me, but I will never give up on finishing that story. Even if I go dark for a while, I will come back to it, and I don't care if it takes me ten years to do it.

.....though I'd really prefer it didn't take that long.

I'm not going to make any promises of 'oh it'll be done soon I hope' anymore though. Every time I do that, and then I fail to meet my own internal deadline I just feel like an ass, and I feel like I've failed you guys, and it sends me into this depression spiral that makes it that much harder to write. I don't know if I should set the story back onto 'hiatus' status again or not.. I mean it's not really on hiatus, I've just become a very slow writer with little time to do it anymore. D:

In the meantime, I'd like to make it possible for you guys to get in closer contact with me if you'd like. You can find me on Skype under the username 'kittensune' (hee, I know, right? xD)—feel free to add me and chat about ponies, my stories, or whatever you'd like. Just be sure you change your 'Hi I'd like to add you!' message so I know you're coming from FimFiction! I get spam adds now and then, so I tend to ignore random adds that don't explain where they know me from. Hop on and chat me up though! I'll be happy to show off what I have so far of the next chapter, and maybe you can help me out when I've got free time to be around.

I also maintain a Skype group for friends from this site, which I'd be happy to invite you to. Though I'm not sure I should be subjecting you guys to those hooligans! (Excluded from that description is Foal's Errand, she's often there too and she's awesome :3)

Anyways, I'll be in touch, and I'm not going anywhere—I just might be quiet about it while I'm here.

Ooh, you've played Overwatch? If you're having problems with getting mad because they beat you with Symm-Torb-Bastion, just remember it's a virtual game and all those times you died don't matter
