First Post and Schedule · 4:40am Sep 12th, 2012
Right then, seeing as how I actually have something up on FimFic now, I figured I'd better set up an explination of why the updates are going to be coming at such a snail's pace.
1. I am a horribly slow writer; the three thousand words up there are the product of four nights of writing and about four weeks of editing. And that's the start of the story, I tend to write those pretty fast.
2. I want to have the next chapter fully written and done before I post the current one; I have Ch. 2 ready to go right now, but Ch. 3 isn't done, so I'm saving it. Hopefully soon.
3. I have school, and given that this is a hobby and school is actually guarenteed to affect my life, I'm probably going to be sidetracked by it a lot. That's not to say I'll stop writing, just that if I have to choose between finishing a chapter and finishing an assignment, I'm doing the bloody assignment.
Now, hopefully the first problem will solve itself as I get used to writing again, and the third will be less of a problem as I get used to school again. The second is dependent on both, so yeah.
I plan on getting a new chapter done at about one per two weeks, at my current rate. Again, snail's pace, I know, but hopefully the fact that I have an obligation to keep her going will prevent a total stall, and as my schedule stabilizes I hope to pick the pace up as much as possible.
Plus, Prevention isn't the only story I'm working on...
