Finally, the first legitimately GOOD episode in S6, Pt 2! · 8:53pm Aug 20th, 2016
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
Saw the new episode just now. And it blows the last three out of the water. Why would you make me feel like this, episode?! WHY!?!
True, Starlight’s there, and she sucks, but she’s not annoying or intrusive. In fact, she does absolutely nothing.
But then, neither did Sunburst. Damn . . .
Also, Shining Armor is a racist asshole. Who would have thought?
Now, for all those who keep pissing and moaning and whining and complaining to me about how much I hate Rainbow Dash, I have this to say:
THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE AN EGOTISTICAL CHARACTER!!!
Spike’s ego is insufferable through most of the episode (to be fair, he did have a point about the disguise), he meets someone who could damage his reputation, throws him to the wolves, feels bad about it, apologizes of his own accord, and risks his rep to give that character a chance instead of just servicing himself all the time.
And doesn't wait until after he gets his just desserts to do the right thing, thereby canceling the need for "just desserts" in the first place!
Take some fucking notes, Rainbow Dash!
Loved this episode. Review to come soon!
Also, have a revisit video: “The Ticket Master” from Season One! Enjoy!
Stay quick, stay sharp, and thanks for watching!
4161319 It might just be. We tend to have opposite opinions most of the time. But with Season Six, it doesn't seem to be the case.
This was quite a nice episode.
I loved this episode too
i liked the episode i relly liked the song spike made at the end anout the changling
I loved this episode. It was really good.
I'm still in the middle of season 5... ._.
Shining Armor really didn't come across as racist to me. If anything, his dislike of changelings is legitimate - as of right now, pony society has no reason to think of them as anything but vicious monsters, and he personally had a very negative experience with them. After all, Chrysalis kidnapped his wife, brainwashed him, invaded his hometown, and manipulated him into hurting his baby sister - that's a lot to hold a grudge over.
As for Starlight, I was glad to see her. I don't want her to be in our faces all the time, but I do sorta feel like we aren't seeing her as much as we could.
4161550 That was a joke.
4161583 ...ah. Yeah, sorry, hard to tell.
I need to watch this immediately.
Spike's singing voice makes Rainbow Dash sound like an angel
That song made "I'll Fly" sound amazing
Even when Rainbow isn't in the episode for more than 2 minutes, you still have to complain about her. Well that's just great.
4215230 It's not like I can ignore that as if it's not there. If she's there and weakens the episode, I speak up. She's not immune to criticism.
