About two months ago I ended up getting hurt while moving a dresser. I won't go into details, but the injury was significant enough to warrant a trip to the hospital and follow up with my doctor. It got me thinking of how I'd stopped training for a very long time. I hadn't lifted weights since April, and I can't even remember the last time I put in any bag time, let alone jogged or did any other cardio.
So I now find myself on my second rest day, and finally, realize just how out of shape I'd let myself get. I barely managed five laps on my last jog, which at least is much better than the first one where I nearly blacked out after the third lap. My legs, more than anything else, are screaming at me as I write this.
Definitely not going to let myself go like this again.
