Well I've gotten through the first week of my new job and I gotta say,. having to wake up at 4 in the morning to get to work on time at 6 is a real downer. The job is ok so far but I'm still just in training. the cool thing is that two of my best friends are also working there with me so I get to see them every once and a while. The pay is really good and i even get a benefits package that starts with the new year but I'll also be working in a cubical, something I promised myself I would never do.

It also means that I'm pulling 11+ hr days every weekday. the depressing thing is that they are only paying me for 8 of those hours. sure I'm not technically clocked on when I wake up to the alarm at 400AM or on the commute to work 45 mins both ways, but try telling me that time isn't spent working. A very wise surfing instructor once told me that the healthy way to live was to divide ones time into three parts: 8hr working, 8hr sleeping, and 8hr playing. I really need around 9hr of sleep and I'm ok with that, but 11hr working is excessive. I don't care who or where you are, that's honest to Celestia the truth!

At least it pays well and it's not too bad so long as i try not to think about it. (thought that is the most scary thing of all) But enough b*tching about the working world, I've finally gotten a good start on chapter 7 of 'What Might Have Been'!!! W00T!! I've really been looking forward to writing this chapter and when it's finished I hope you guys like it too! also I have discovered a wicked sweet new show that some of you might have heard of called 'Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt'! I have to say that I'm just as enthralled by it as by MLP (the fandoms don't even compare though BROINES FTW!!!) If you haven't seen it yet you need to change that, because it rocks.
Fig 3. Kneesocks is my favorite, she's got such a cool vocabulary
Anyway that's what my life looks like right now so you'll just have to remain patient for more chapters from me. needless to say my schedule doesn't have much room for writing but I'm determined not to quit!!! just for reference I got about a fifth of the way through the next chapter today and my goal is to get an average of 250 words down on days that i work. I realize that's a pittance compared to some authors and even to myself of a month ago, but I just have to take this at my own pace. Hopefully I'll find a good groove and get things rolling a bit faster down the line.
also sorry if this all feels like one big personal rant, but I needed to get some of this stuff off my chest and this really helped. thanks for putting up with me! that's all that's new and happening in the world of GreenFrog so I guess I'll hit this up again when the next chapter is out!
Peace!
