We have a mouse in our house. I spent about a week trying to catch it before finally trapping it.
It was almost comedic, a Tom and Jerry sort of thing XD
I don't know why I'm posting this, I'm just bored. We got a new computer stand and I can't really write comfortably until I get used to the new distances between the computer and my face, the mouse (The computer thing, not the animal) and my hand, and so on. Grrr.
Also, have you ever had a really awesome fanfic in mind, but somebody else beats you to writing it, so you feel like you can't write it because people will think you're copying the other person even though you had the idea before you saw the other fic?
Yeah, I feel that way a lot
Omg yes! I actually sort of thought the copying thing would happen with my fic Applejack Takes a Math Test. It crossed my mind a couple of times that people might think I was sort of copying your Luna Takes a Shower.
I know what you mean bro, I come up with all these amazing ideas, but then I find out that whatever I do, someone has already done waaaaaaaay before me.
It makes me feel like I'm behind or something.
:u
349040 Oh, whoops :P
349033 That feel, That happened to me just today, for ages I've been wanting to write a fanfiction where Twilight Sparkle gets turned into a changeling, well lo and behold, somebody already did that I'm not angry or anything, I really like his/her fanfic, and can't wait for the next chapter... but it's still frustrating (I guess it's just one more thing to dissuade me from starting anything more and getting my butt back to finishing the fanfics I've already started...)
Remember: It's not just the idea that matters. It's also who does it first
349066 Exactly. That's why I mostly stick with one-shots these days. People can't get mad at me for being lazy and take forever to write it!
Getting ideas isn't hard; getting them typed isn't hard. Getting ideas no one else has done is hard, and when you do, they dog-pile you, or so it seems.
All you can do is keep telling yourself "Someone will like this." Otherwise, you're just doing it to stroke your own ego, And you'll go blind that way...
I know that feeling... I've had so many ideas that I procrastinated on writing, only to find out when I finally go to write it, someone else has beaten me to it! ><;
