    Bronycon

This will be the third year on a row at Bronycon for me and my family. I'll be the one in a off Whitevsafari hat carrying a small black camera bag. I may have a lanky sidekik with me. Come hi.

I'll be going to as many writing workshops as possible along with the PABS panel. If anyone has an interest, I will try to post my schedule in this blog tomorrow which is today.

I had a wonderful time at Bronycon

The first panel I went to was Worlds Beyond: Crossovers in fan fiction.
the panelists were Somber, Gapjaxie,Wanderer D, Pen Stroke, and Arad.
he main thing i got out of it was read lots about the worlds you are crossing over to, and know the ending before you start.

I actually got to meet Pen Stroke, and he is super nice. He actually signed a book for someone else. Also met Wanderer D and he as well was very nice. I didn't have much to say to him though. I don't know, what do you say to a moderator of a site that you haven't published to? "hello i'm a blubbering idiot who doesn't know if i have read any of your stories"?

Anyway, I was able to meet General Soarin and jman14102 for dinner and plan a get together that never happened. Bummer, but the good side of it I met my favorite authors! We played PM tag for an hour and finally met by the vendor hall. Crystal Wishes and Anzel are super nice people and very understanding. Got a picture with them (squee!). Y'all gave me a great idea for a one-shot as well!

Went to a comedy panel and among other notes, they explained the rule of three. Basically you can tell a joke three times before its not funny anymore. Go to the extreme on the last or invert the joke.

Caught the tail end of how to draw ponies, and discovered website Ctrl Paint along with mango studio 5, Definitely in my price range. However, inkscape is actually free (still learning it)

Shipping Ponies

Can they have a conversation for 20 min?
Explained ways to go wrong, and alien shipping syndrome. (I am guilty of this too).

Good dialogue, Bad Dialogue

Basically it depends on the story, Lots of tips for creating dialog, and when to use color in your writing. Using different fonts is frowned upon. And Italics can be used, if you keep it consistent in the story.

And the last panel I went to was on Original Characters.
Creating original characters you should be able to at least have 5 adjectives about them. Not all of them revealed in the first chapter.

Well a lot of this stuff you could probably find in this site’s groups the one I like is school for new writers I didn't go to the closing ceremonies because I had to be somewhere else. (bummer.) But I had a good time anyway.

Also met some of the people of PABS (Pony Apocalypse Broadcasting Studio) A nice bunch of guys. Check out their site! www.pabsproject.com

It was wonderful to meet you!! So glad you reached out. Happy we could inspire you on a oneshot! :raritywink:

People usually describe Bronycons as waiting in lines. It's nice to hear of a more cheerful experience.

Oh, don't get me wrong,. I waited in alot of lines, reminiscent of that one pony fic 'Twilight goes to linecon' but I didn't let that get to me. The fun I had there more than made up for it.
