Holmes on Hiatus · 7:41pm Sep 8th, 2012
Well, as you've all noticed, my Holmes story is on hiatus. I've been trying for months now to figure out where to go with this, but I've got nothing. So, I'm taking a break from it until I can absorb a sufficient amount of pop culture and sugar to get my thinker box working.
FOE: Marejave I gotta know if you'll be continuing it. Despite the fact that New Vegas style stories have been done a couple of times (Serously, nopony's done FO3's yet?) I feel your story is somewhat fresh and has that... for lack of a better word, spark that draws my attention. Three Fallout: Equestria stories I highly recommend you check out before continuing the story are Tales of a Courier, New Pegas & Heroes so that you can avoid doing what those stories have already done.
Though To be honest Tales of a Courier is focused on the courier's brother who saw him die and ironically enough got his head caved in like your own protagonist's. That one's more revenge oriented whilst New Pegas is closer to a retelling of New Vegas's story with some original elements. Heroes has a NV-esque city i.e, Dise and a lot of similar elements to the Fallout: New Vegas but has a protagonist who wants to make the region a stable location rather than being driven by Profit or revenge.
Point is there are other New Vegas stories but I think the tone of yours as well as the narration style can really help it stand out. So if you're on the ropes about it, I'd urge you to continue.
508368 I am most DEFINITELY continuing New Haygas. Just a little stuck on a certain point in the next chapter (curse you, writer's block!)
However, I have recently acquired a hammer and chisel, so I am doing my best to work through my writer's block.
His head was caved in too, huh? And here I thought I was being original and more... pony friendly.
And as far as why people haven't touched on FO3's story, well... the original Fallout: Equestria pretty much had all the major elements from that, but with a lot of other stuff added in, both original and from previous games. That's how I feel, anyways.
So, yeah. Thanks for the input! I'll have to keep this stuff in mind, and I hope you enjoy what I'll be posting for the next chapter whenever I finish it!
