So I was making progress with the sequel to Dimension Jumper and I had quite a few chapters either sketched out or finished and ready for a beta read when I noticed something. I had just written a fight sequence and was looking for where I could put training for that fight in. I couldn't. I couldn't justify it with some of the other things I'd written for Justin. As I re-read more and more of the

    ARCO Emergency Protocals

When an ARCO Conversion Pod, also known as an Interdimensional Transport and Acclimatization Unit is launched from headquarters, it does so only after hundreds of probes have successfully landed and scouted the area. Usually mistaken as weather balloons, will-o-wisps, or even UFOs, the probes carry out various scans and data collection before returning to ARCO for assessment.

Well my faithful readers I'm afraid that work, school and sickness have taken their toll. Not only was I knocked out for almost a week but my beta-reader/proofreader/editor/VERY appreciated friend has been sick and overworked as well.

The company does advertize the use of nearly 50% renewable energy.

As I re-read more and more of the story I came to a horrific realization. Justin was tackling new problems with little effort every other chapter. Justin was voicing ideas and those ideas were taken and implemented with no push back at fairly high levels. Justin was finding faults and fixing them nearly effortlessly.

Justin had become a Mary Sue.

After reading through everything I'd written I managed to pinpoint the chapter where I jumped the shark. I've got a lot of writing to do just to fix this, and more than a few ideas might be tossed by the wayside, but I know I can write better than this.

Thank you all for your patience.

Ouch. Now that sounds painful. Hope you can sort out your book soon, because I can't wait to read it.

2 years later no updates

This blog had me thinking ok a week to perhaps a month then, but of course this isn't the first time I've seen life throw an rench I into a writer's plan.
Took you 1 year, 7 months, 6 days to update, could of definitely been worse, so thanks for not giving up or something else to that degree. I shall now go read the new chapter.
