In case you missed my last blog post, I'm taking a break from the adventures of Celestia and Daring Do to write the next Petriculture story. At this point it looks like it'll be fairly short -- about two chapters long -- and I recently finished up the first chapter, which will be posted once my prereaders give it a final once-over.
So, on a whim, I decided to see how difficult it would be to find a heavy metal cover of the 60's bubblegum classic "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" on YouTube. As it turns out, the answer is "not difficult at all."
4076951 - Well, considering that the chorus is in a minor key, it's easy to make most of the song sound aggressive, since original song has a famously long outro that consists of repeating the chorus over and over for two minutes (in a song with a total run time of about four minutes, mind you). It's just the two verses that sound a bit odd as heavy metal.
