The Multiple Reason Delay of A Lost Sunset · 3:13am Jul 7th, 2016
Hi everypony,
I'm doing this blog post because I know its basically been over 2 months since I last updated 'A Lost Sunset'. For that, I'm truly sorry. Now...as to why it's took so long.
One, due to recent comments/PMs over my stories...I...lost some motivation. I'm not good with criticism and I apologize for it. I try really hard to ignore whining and insults but...its not easy.
Two, I honestly have no idea what will happen next in the story. I'm planning on ending the Siren arc in the next chapter. You'll see how Sunset gets out of this, etc. I originally planned like 5 more chapters but...it got old. I didn't care for the tone and direction I've been taking it and wanted to get back to the crazy school/slice of life story that is 'A Lost Sunset'. The Siren arc was more of an experiment with the story than anything and...I honestly think it kinda failed....kinda.
Three, I got a job. And it stinks. It also takes up like 90% of my time. I barely have an hour or two a day to write and that is not enough. That's my main reason for not writing right now, I don't have the time.
Four, I...I want to get to the ending of the story and I have no idea how. I've had an ending and a sequel in mind since the beginning of the story. But...with the exception of one arc I want to do in the future...I have no ideas. Complete writer's block. Ugh...
Overall, I'm sorry. Please give me some more time, I will return to this story, I promise. If anything, if there ever is a moment I can't return to the story, I will detail a chapter telling all the events I wanted to do. I will at least do that for my fans of my story.
Take you're time. We aren't going to rush you. Besides, you gave a good explanation with no excuses on how the story is going. That's more than enough for me!

Also, keep in mind that proper constructive criticism is meant to help you do better in your writing and not ridicule you. Anything outside of the former and follows the latter is utter nonsense spam/trolls and should be kindly ignored. Don't let that stop you from making the stories as best as you can.

Better a long wait for a good chapter than a short wait for a bad chapter. If I may be so bold as to suggest working on a different story, you may find an idea from there will work instead.

Don't worry, A&W! If anything, at least you've got some excuses...I should really be continuing my own story, but...an old enemy has returned to sabotage me.
