    I've made a bit of a mistake

I've picked a very bad time to come back to this site and restart all of my stories.
I have my big GCSE exams all starting up next week.
    9 in two weeks.
    10 in the other two.
    19 in four weeks.

    Two down...

One to go. Hearts Of The Millennia and Through The Cracks have now both been finished. All of my attention will now be focused on the next chapter of Becoming Chaos and after that the next chapter of Monochrome. I reckon I get the next chapter of Becoming Chaos out around the Thursday mark, maybe earlier, maybe later. That's about it really, for those who read Becoming Chaos, look out for the new

    I'm back

Sorry that I disappeared, I got bored of writing but that's changed and now I'm gonna try and start writing again.

I have things planned, great things, like that one story I promised nearly a year ago that never actually happened. Those sorts of great things.

    Monochrome

    Welp, here I am again.

Alright, I have, perhaps, had a minor roadblock in writing Becoming Chaos at the moment, combined with the fact that Through The Cracks is a story that takes a lot of spare time and though to write means that I haven't been working on either of them.

News regarding lack of everything really

Final year of school means tons of exams.
Tons of exams means tons of revision.
Tons of revision means rarely any time to do what I'd like to do.

Did I mention the amount of revision and exams I'm having? It feels like I haven't quite mentioned it enough.

Chapters- Long or short? · 7:46pm Sep 7th, 2012

Alright, I am having a bit of trouble writing chapters for my story Becoming Chaos which exceed the 4000-5000 word mark. Hell, I'm having trouble getting them even close to 3000 at the moment so I shall ask you all a very important question:

Should I make chapters that are shorter (1000-3000) but more frequent or chapters that are longer (4000-6000) and less frequent?

At the moment I have roughly 1200 words written for the new chapter but progress has been slow since I've started my last year at school and I'm catching up on revision I missed from when I was on holiday. Anyway, please write your answer out below because I'm struggling to reach a decision.

You should do whatever makes you feel the least amount of pressure.dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Colgate_beam.png

It all depends on what, and how you want it to play out.

An example, so far all of the chapters of Through Changes has been short, but I have kept it in a tight pace and not going away from my original plan for it. And in When The Wind Changes near the end, I churned off 3000 - 4000 words chapters to play it all out with less chapters.

The downside with short chapters is that you often end with a cliffhanger, and the downside with long chapters is that it takes some time to produce and get out if you, unlike me write it a little bit of when and where. When I write, I power through the entire chapter until I am satisfied with the result, then send it off to a pre-reader to whip my knuckles with a ruler.

342952 Wow, thats pretty much my editing schedule! And I just asked my editor the same question, long or short chapters?

Because this is mainly a comedy, I would suggest shorter chapters, but ACTUALLY PROOFREAD THEM!!!!!!:flutterrage: te grammar nazis will be all over you like shingles, man:raritydespair:

But really, I think longer chapters are better off for more dramatic, or intense stories, like this one,

I think they should be long :pinkiehappy: But its your story anyways i just love this story and want you to keep up on it :raritywink:
