I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks that Cadence was prettier when she was young and not as skinny as she is now?
While I'm at it, I'll also say that I don't think Fleur de Lis is pretty at all. Actually when she showed up the first thing I thought was "D: Terrible! Is she anorexic? ... oh damn she's supposed to be seen as pretty! ... and the fandom will see her as pretty too, now won't they : | I hope Rarity will comment something about that before the episode is over." and I was extremely disappointed when she didn't.
When Cadence was introduced I was so damn disappointed in the show. Come on! Fleur at least was supposed to be a flighty trophy wife and thus her starving herself was kinda understandable since that's how (human) society judges women, especially in bigger cities. But Cadence? Whyyyyy~ D: Especially when she was shown to have been normal weighted before, that made it so much worse! ... though I guess she has the excuse of being an alicorn. Doesn't really make me any happier about it.
