Season Eight Episode Reviews: Molt Down

This week is a Spike episode? What a re-”molt”-ing development this is!

Let's look at “Molt Down,” the episode that will surely be perfectly normal and have no long-lasting repercussions on a character's appearance.

Season Eight Episode Reviews: Break Up Break Down

I dread going into this week's episode. For today, we discuss matters of the heart. Romance, love, heartbreak, and all that rot. Which means we run right into the most loathsome of all fandom constructs, the kind of thing that destroys friendships and leaves the most brilliant of minds curled up helplessly in a corner, foaming from the mouth:

    SHIPPING.

    The good times are over.

Season Eight Episode Reviews: Horse Play

So hey, it's a new episode. Surely nothing to be excited about. Just another standard episode of a cartoon pony show.

    Only it's a CELESTIA EPISODE!

Prepare for extra spicy biased scoring as we look at Best Princess' newest episode, “Horse Play!”

RIP THEIR HEARTS OUT WHEN YOU FIND THEM!!!

Just remember, if you shoot them, wait until they have at least one foot inside your property, and don't chase them when they flee. (That goes from Self Defense to Assault with a Deadly Weapon in most states.)

What the... how'd they get in?!

4047355

Looks like they forced my bedroom window open.

Holy crap how the hell do things like this happen? Which floor do you live on? How secure is your place?

4047386

It's on the first floor. It's apparently not secure enough.

4047392 Y'all need an attack dog.

Or a cat. Cats hate when people visit and cat hair will mark your thief if he lives nearby

I'll second the idea of getting a dog or cat, though that does add to your expenses. Setting up a small concealed video camera isn't a bad idea either and might be cheaper on the budget.

If these are the same idiots as before, you can probably asked for an unmarked police car to park outside your house and stake it out.

Do you have a gun? If you're not comfortable shooting them, you can bash their heads with the butt of the gun.

If you catch them, that is...
What a pacifist I am!

Razor wire on the windowsills. That's my suggestion. Dust them with salt; it'll make the injuries even more painful and damage wire cutters if they try to use those.

4047392 Sounds like you need bars in the windows oO geez...

4047368 Start nonchalantly asking to see if your neighbors got a new console or TV, most likely its a neighbor if they know when you are gone. Also, apartment insurance is great and not very expensive, worth the investment. I insured 25k worth of stuff (I only owned about 15k worth of stuff) for $12 a month, was basically a netflix subscription.

If you can move out, not a place you want to stay if its common to get broken into.

4047516

I have renter's insurance, but the deductible is way too high. They keep stealing under the threshold.

4047519 Sounds like a sham insurance to me. Just save up to move to a better neighborhood if possible. Or get a guard dog. A trained to attack intruders type guard dog. Better than most insurances.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. I'd also have to nth the idea of getting a cheap video camera and setting it up in case this happenes again.

4047519
Makes me wonder if it really is a neighbor. I suppose the police have basically just shrugged and said there is nothing they can do?

4047572

The police haven't even shown up yet.

What an exciting life you live. Can't you reinforce the windows somehow?

If it was me, I'd go full cowboy and get a revolver... maybe a shotgun. :scootangel:

Im so sorry to hear that. *hug*

Given that it's happened twice within a week, we can deduce two things. First, that it was probably the same group of people; second, that they probably live nearby. Given what they've stolen so far, a TV and Game Consoles, we can also determine that they're probably teenagers/young adults. This means that they're going to be pretty sloppy.

My advice would just to contact local authorities and see what they can do. Set up maybe a camera or two. Sadly, given that they've already stolen your TV and Games, I don't really know what else they'd want, maybe your computer/laptop?

Aww man... that's just not right... :ajsleepy:

I'm so sorry.

Maybe you know all this, but here's a page with some useful info about this sort of thing.

http://www.protectedhome.com/prevent-theft-and-break-ins.html

Remember, the best way to catch such thieves of electronics is to have the make, model, and serial number of every electronic device recorded and be able to give it to the police immediately. That way they can track down the item as soon as the thief tries to sell it.

However if your cell phone is ever stolen, while most carriers can 'brick' it right away, police might ask for it to be left working for up to three days to help track down the criminal.

I hope the tips above help and I'm sorry for what happened. I hope you get your stuff back and prevent this from ever happening again.
