It's good to be back

It's been a long time since I've been part of the fandom, a really long time in fact. Over two years. That may not seem all that long to others, but to some one whose life feels like a week is a year, yeah....long time.

I am fairly new to Fimfiction. Although I've read plenty of stories on this website myself, I have just recently created my very own account, and have yet to write any stories. Although I would love to write a good fanfiction, two problems arise.
1. I've never written a fanfiction
2. I'm having a serious case of writers block

Although I'd love to write stories of my own, granted, they would probably be pretty dark, sad, or random, I just don't know where to start. I guess in a way I suffer from internet stage fright, though on a small scale. If anypony happens to have any suggestions or advice for me, I'd be glad to hear them.
