Substitute - On that most recent episode and some other updates

Huh, well that is an interesting aspect; turns out the map hasn't been used since Starlight went back in time and tried to change Equestria. Who knew? More to the fact: it hasn't even been working in that time.

This brings up a couple of interesting thoughts, one of which is more pertinent than the other. Firstly, this means that Substitute takes place after Spice Up Your Life. Now, in the grand scheme of things that doesn't mean too much since most episodes are in an arbitrary order anyhow, and I myself can't even say how much time passes between Spice Up Your Life and Substitute, but it is at least a thing. Secondly, the odd behavior as the map booted up spurned some very interesting thoughts related to why the map is not working and what exactly Twilight and Starlight's dual spell in this recent episode actually did. In short, these thoughts relate to the concurrent timelines that I've currently postulated in Substitute. I doubt I'll actually be able to work such a thing into the plot, but it's a nice thing to keep in mind. And who knows?

My one other update pertains to that story that I mentioned in my previous blog post. I said I had pulled up an old story to tide ya'll over. Well, it just finished editing and as of a few minutes ago, it has been posted! If you're waiting on chapter three, you can find it to tide you over here.
