The Death of a 22-Year-Old Singer from ''The Voice'': My Observations · 12:40pm Jun 11th, 2016
Today, a rising star named Christina Grimmie was shot and killed in Orlando, Florida. She was an American singer and songwriter, best known for participating in NBC's The Voice (which some pointed to as one of the few things from the network to write home about recently) and for her covers of hit songs by contemporary pop musicians. In June 2012, she told a reporter that she wanted to stop doing covers and start writing only original music.
Since she was shot and killed just as her star was about to climb, and since relatively few have heard of her prior to her killing, I predict she will become the John F. Kennedy of contemporary pop in that many conspiracy theories will arise from her death. Expect the theories to posit that her killing involved many people or organizations, such as the CIA, the Mafia, outgoing President Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Black Lives Matter, Cuban President Fidel Castro, the KGB, or some combination of those entities. The controversial Iranian news outlet, Press TV, will likely connect ''Israeli death squads and [or] Jews'' to the singer's death. I anticipate the voices of Pat Robertson or Anita Bryant to allege that Grimmie's death was possibly retribution from God for the fact that religious songs are not present in her catalogue (although one of her idols was a Christian singer, Stacie Orrico, but she's more of a contemporary religious singer rather than a traditional one). There will also be those who allege that the stories of her death were set up by NBC as a publicity stunt designed to give her most identified show huge ratings. And, of course, Farce News is going to blame her death on anybody who isn't white or anybody who isn't of the Christian faith (more likely, they'll blame it on a Muslim, or feed all the blame to ISIS aka ISIL).
Regardless, I suggest that you and your family and her family take many of the conspiracy theories with a grain of salt. I now pray:
May eternal happiness always shine upon her. May her mourners be comforted.

4569969 It's been (a little over) a year since her death, honestly when you first posted this, I was in mostly shock as I had heard of the incident just a few hours prior and truly couldn't wrap my head around it. While it still seems unbelievable, I have come to terms with her murder. On the 1 year anniversary of the single murder/suicide, I comprised a memorial thread on YouTubers of Fimfiction on the date of June 10, 2017 in her honor.
