you ever get the feeling that you have too much to do? · 10:14pm Sep 4th, 2012
I don't mean that in a strict sense, in that you have a ton of deadlines or responsibilities to take care of, but in that there are tons of things that you want to do.
For example, I've been writing a few things, there's the adventure fic that I started for the August Pony Writing Month (I have about 18000 words done for that) There's a more personal Mayor Mare project I've been working on (just telling the Town Hall roof story through slice of life journal entries) but I don't think it's something that most people would be too interested in reading. It's literally just the Mayor's day, retold by her, with the kind of information that pretty much only a Mayor loving guy like me would care about. I also want to write a silly Nightmare Moon/Chrysalis fic where they share a date by doing the most evil things they can think of. Kinda like this :P
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
It was recently my birthday and I received some money to do with what I want. Never really had my eye on anything specific. Anyway, my father gave me £40 and said to some other people whilst giving it to me, "He'll probably just spend it on a game." So in order to spite him, I used his money to buy myself a new light jacket (I really needed one of these and the hood on it is freakin' epic, like a serious Assassin's Creed type hood.) I also bought the first two books in the Game of Thrones series, because it was buy one get one half price (YES I KNOW I'M SUPER LATE.) I read the prologue and it definitely interested me, I hope Will doesn't die, I always play stealth characters in RPG's and he fits that bill from what I've read. So there's two doorstops that I want to read (not to mention the others if I really get into the series)
Yeah, you guessed it, there's more.
As I've said multiple times before, I also draw stuff. Like this Colgate comic. Which kinda leads onto my next point, I've been reading a crap ton of manga lately and it's made me want to take a stab at drawing out a graphic novel style comic thingy for my adventure fic up there. If nothing else, it would get me drawing more regularly, helping me evolve my skills a little and force me into learning how to use my software a little better to clean the pages I draw. (I'm a pencil and paper guy) So I think it's a worthwhile thing to at least attempt. There's also another fic I want to try and graphic novelise once I learn how to draw humans a little better.
I'm also pretty dang close to finishing up all of the achievements for Dragon's Dogma. I can see how I can get the last few achievements, none seem that out or reach and I freakin' love the game to hell so I want to make an effort to complete it fully. Hearthfire has just been released as well, probably motivate me to re-complete Skyrim's achievements, Dawnguard added that damn Legendary Dragon achievement and I'm only level 58, not to mention I have to fully level up a werewolf character. Oh and have you heard about a little game coming out soon called Borderlands 2? You might have seen the, quite frankly, most epic trailers building up the hype to any game ever. I'm gonna play the holy hell out of that game (Was actually gonna consider not playing Maya on my first playthrough until I saw that she was a freakin' Elemental wizard) Sorry Zer0, you're gonna have to wait until playthrough 2.
So yeah, I'm busy. None of it is life threatening if I don't do it, but that's my plate right now.
