I'm back! (Warning: may contain traces of holiday photos) · 5:54pm Sep 4th, 2012
So hey everyone. I was half wondering if I'd come back to find the fandom in flames. I am pleasantly surprised.
Thanks especially to the guys who wished me well on my travels. Sorry I didn't reply to you, I typed up the blog post on the morning I was flying out so didn't have time.
So, I've been doing this
in this
And, well, you know, it was okay.
There wasn't really much to see.
The lack of broadband wi-fi really kinda ruined it.
It was very tourist-y and packed.
Didn't make any friends or anything
There wasn't much variety.
Nothing interesting really happened.
I mean, honestly, it was rather disappointing all told.
I actually ... okay, I can't keep this up. I saw a fricking leopard. Like, right there.
:3
It was absolutely amazing and a pretty damn special experience. I got stupid lucky with some of the animals, had some amazing bits of culture and did some rather odd things in some rather odd places. Brilliant holiday.
Right. Lemme just catch my breath, then I'll sort out my pones.
GAWT DAAYUM
Btw, the Toto song really tied the post together
Pretty awesome holiday! Those pictures are fantastic!
Did you name one of the zebras Zecora? Did you find the way they eat hay... weird?
Looks like that lion had been in some scrapes.
Sweet deal!
P.S.
No fandom flames yet, but the possibility of Trixie returning has got some people readying their torches...
335766 Hehe, thank you Finally all those nights of being dragged along to a local music quiz came in handy for something
335770 Thanks! Turns out that a) Zebras are adorable and b) they are goddamn everywhere. Also, I guess, c) they are awful at rhyming couplets; they were always trying to rhyme *snort* with *slightly different snort* which is technically pemissable but kind of lame.
Dat lion. Never have I seen an animal exude so much 'I can murder you with casual ease and I think we both know that'. Gave me the shivers.
That's good news. Now you mention it I guess it makes sense that, if anything, another Trixie episode would be the harbinger of the apocalypse. Oh well. See what happens I guess.
Nice holyday!
And now time to get back to writing !
338142 It really was! And yup, nose back against the grindstone now. I've just gotten the next 'All the Mares' out so I'll be giving Starworks my full attention for a while now.
