In regards to the newest episode Flutter Brutter breaking Silent Ponyville 2 the same way Hearthbreakers broke Silent Ponyville 1, I figured I'd at least share with you updated headcanons of mine in that regard.
Now, obviously Silent Ponyville takes place in a very distinct Alternate Universe at this point, but one of the entire points of writing the series originally was to have fun headcanons that could fit into canon if you wanted them to. Can't really change that Octavia isn't Marble Pie, Limestone obviously isn't Bellamina or dead, and I nicknamed Maud Retconnie because she is, so rather than trying to change Silent Ponyville 1 to better fit into canon, I just sort of let that one rest. At BEST, the events of Silent Ponyville 1 still sort of happened to Pinkie and Limestone, but they managed to escape and get the Colt arrested before anyone died.
But I absolutely can make Silent Ponyville 2 headcanons work with canon!
As established, Silent Ponyville is an AU. SO, in canon, Posey (Mrs. Shy, thank you for not properly naming them canon) still married Lance Strongshy and they had Fluttershy together. However, instead of Posey being the one that died, Lance died during Fluttershy's childhood. This means Fluttershy was never abused by her father, and Posey raised her as a single mother for a while. Eventually she meets a factory worker who ends up bringing some stability back to her life and she ends up marrying him, and that is where Fluttershy's little brother comes from!
Everyone wins with Silent Ponyville 2, hurray!

Look I just REALLY like Lance as Fluttershy's father okay? I WON'T LET CANON TAKE THAT FROM ME!
PS. I don't think I've ever talked about my naming conventions for the Pie family have I? I was totally 100% on board with the Pacman family joke, and so I was naming them as such.

Certainly would have opened up a whole new can of worms of different game mechanics that's for sure xD
Canon or no-canon, just go with what you think makes the story flow and say it's an AU dude, it still works.
I mean, come-ON, it took MLP Four freaking seasons to even reveal just a BIT about Pinkie Pie's family, and even LONGER for Fluttershy to get a glimpse of hers.
You could just say it's Pre-canon and it still works. Heck, a lot of us fans suck with the names Inkie Pie and their other fandom names before Maud, Lime, and Marble were introduced, so that level of fan-canon still exists.
If it makes a good story, stick with what you know and have.
