Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

Well, Forget GTA V · 4:05am Jun 3rd, 2016

Was hoping to do another playthrough of GTA V before No Man's Sky in August, but I guess I'll just do Witcher 3's New Game +, because I'm fucking sick to death of the severe stuttering and whatever memory leak the game has.

The one on the left is ten minutes of GTA V. The one on the right is Witcher 3.

I've lowered all of GTA V's settings to High, while Witcher 3, by all counts a more recent and more demanding game, remains on Very High and Ultra, yet uses the GPU much, much more efficiently (the large dip was an inventory screen, and the dips at the end was me alt-tabbing out to screen cap Afterburner). All the troubleshooting I've done hasn't helped.

Thanks, Rockstar.

3994458 That's nothing to do with it. This is an optimization issue.

As far as I know, Rockstar never even wanted to make a PC port of GTA 5. It's the reason they kept putting it off. So it having performance issues doesn't surprise me.
