Hey everyone!

Someone pointed out that I've not written a blog post in a while, so I thought I'd come on and do a little update as to what I'm up to!

Pony stuff:

I'm loving Season 6 so far! I've already fanboyed about the Trixie episode so I won't mention that again OMG Trixie was cute and awesome and it's my new favourite episode!!! I really enjoyed the Spike episode, to my own surprise! :moustache: Hearth's Warming Carol was pretty cool, but I loved The Saddle Row Review (the interview was a really nice touch). I'm really impressed with the writing this season. Bit of a bummer that there's going to be a big hiatus, but I'm not all that bothered this time around - got enough other stuff to keep me busy!

I'm doing little bits here and there on pony fic. I'm getting close to finishing Second Sunset (which I've decided to rename if and when I release the rest of it on here), which I'm still quite enjoying. Other things like Follow The Rainbow and A Slice of Flutterdash on the other hand, aren't really coming to me. I've written a couple of chapters for each of them, but it was a lot of effort and not particularly fun. Only other pony prose I've done recently is a little verse flashfic over on UKofEquestria, which was fun and cheesy :twilightsheepish:

Progress on my FiM RPG has slowed down considerably, so I'm kinda glad I haven't posted too much about it yet. I've finished the intro (~45 minutes to an hour of gameplay) which introduces the basic premise, and started work on the first chapter (about 20-30 minutes into that so far). Rarity and Pinkie are in the party now, and I had to put together a couple of Royal Guard ponies for part of the story (so 4 new playable characters... that took a while :ajbemused:) It's going alright! I'm just not particularly inspired for it at the minute, hence the slow progress. It'll get there

Not pony stuff

Working on an original, urban fantasy thriller novel. It's very early days, but the ideas for it are cool so far. I might make it my project for National Novel Writing Month this year, actually. So you'll probably hear about it then :pinkiehappy:

Music-wise, I've been performing - bad guitar and worse singing - monthly at a charity gig in my hometown. Had some unofficial singing lessons from a friend, so I'm a lot better than I was when I started out! I've been playing some low-key brony music from Mandopony and RE:Make, that's been fun :pinkiehappy: Low-key as in you couldn't tell it was actually about cartoon horses if you were just listening - you'd have to look it up. I'll save the blatantly pony stuff for when we're singing in the halls at conventions :scootangel:

(Boring study/what next bits spoiler tagged 'cause they're boring! Skip if you're not interested, it's mostly just me venting :P) I'm nearly finished with this year of my university course. It's gotten a bit boring, if I'm honest... *sigh* I'm looking into Open University for next year anyway, so I may shop around for other courses - maybe something in creative writing. Problem there is that although I can write, technically speaking I have no English qualifications... :applejackunsure: Might be difficult to find a course that'll accept me...

Or I could just stick to Computer Science. I honestly still have no idea what I want to do... Can't actually see myself in a computing/office job. I think I'd go insane pretty quickly :twilightblush: Writing is really the only thing I can imagine doing. I guess that answers my own question. Anyway, that's enough about studying. I'm boring myself just writing it :rainbowwild:

Moving on, something more fun. UK ponies - Swindon Comic Con is coming up this weekend (4th June), and I'll be there on the Saturday. Always cool to hang out with bronies, so as usual, give me a shout if you're going. I'll be in pony gear, of course! I was planning to do a Nathan Drake cosplay from Uncharted, but as usual I was not even remotely organised so that didn't happen :twilightblush:

Aaand I think that's about it for the mildly interesting stuff. Got lots of other stuff on but this post turned out long enough as it is! Sorry! (although if you read this far, I guess you're interested, so... :rainbowkiss:)

Sorry I've been quiet, too. Haven't had much to report. Also, if I've missed any Twixie fics spawned by the new episode, please send them my way!

Cheers, and talk to ya later  ~UB

Well, I'm sorry to hear that ASOFD isn't progressing a lot. Hopefully, something will come to you soon. You have to admit, the cute little scene at the beginning of 'A Hearth Warming Carol' with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy was enjoyable. Also, last week's revelation that Rainbow Dash visits the spa does give some ideas for FlutterDash stories. You said that you've written at least a couple more since your hiatus. What exactly are they and do you have an idea of when they'll be posted?

Well okay, after reading this I can say atleast one thing. You are way way way more productive than me haha. And working on many fronts might be good, If inspiration and motivation dies down in one of the projects you can work on another.

Intresting to hear About the different projects that you have going on, keep it up and you will only improve.

Regarding your studying problem I can only give my sympathy, I know how it is. Im currently studying economics and sometimes its really boring and you just wonder why you try to get a degree at all.
Hope you have a good day now :)

3985755 I've got Read It And Weep - in which Fluttershy is cute and worries about Dash - and Hearts and Hooves Day - in which Dash gets her priorities straight :pinkiehappy: They're not that bad, so I could probably give them an editing pass and release them soon. I'll take a look at it on the weekend and potentially release the first one then.

It is quite helpful to be able to flit between them, especially seeing as I'm quite flighty to begin with :rainbowwild:

RE: Studying - yeah I've definitely felt like that a couple of times. It's a tricky one... :applejackunsure: I may end up taking a bit of time out after this term to think about it, rather than rushing into a decision.
