New Manehattan Episode · 3:50am May 22nd, 2016
*how I imagine things went a week before the episode*
Rarity: So, I see you wish to become the manager of Rarity For You.
Coco: No, you told me I'd only have to do that if you couldn't find any others. You have plenty of candidates, and I'd prefer to keep working on Bridlew--
Rarity: *in interviewer mode*: So, what do you think will impede you from management positions?
Coco: I'm not very good at standing up to other ponies.
Rarity: We can work on that, dear.
Coco: Plus, I've never really had a "good" boss, so I don't even know what leading ponies right would look like.
Rarity: Hmmm. Elaborate about your past working experiences.
Coco: I worked for Suri Polomare and Mosely Orange.
Rarity: Perhaps management isn't for you, then...

I won't lie. I was worried about Coco's role in this one. A lot of the fandom seemed to want her to be the manager of Rarity For You, but doing that would mess up her Bridleway career arc. Thank goodness they just made her an associate, who could work part-time for her. I imagine Rarity understands and gives her very flexible hours.
I liked it a lot, though. Seeing the newspaper editor was interesting, especially since I can now use a canon character for Bambi's boss. I intend on releasing the new part tomorrow, and another around Wednesday or Thursday. Why am I releasing them so quickly? Midwest Bronyfest is this Saturday, and I'll be speaking there for the second year in a row. I'm very excited to go and I really want to spread my name around FiMFiction just before the event.
Flexible hours? In this economy? Ha!
She's probably worked to the maximum of her availability.

Then again, this is Equestria...
*is literally bound and determined to do anything possible to keep this story from needing an AU tag*
Poor Bambi, you're go in her Jay Jonah Jamison as her boss xD

Yeah, it could be interesting to write a part with the two of them...
