A New Story

Alright, so, last blog post I believe I pointed out that I was working on a new fan-fiction. I can attest that I have been working tirelessly, I use that term loosely because I am actually taking my time to work on it and working in stages, on the fic and I hope it turns out well. I want it to be mostly a surprise so this post is mostly to build up hype. I am hoping I can get it published by the end of this month but if not then I plan the release date to be early next month. Unlike normal, I will not be publishing this one chapter-by-chapter but instead all at once. That's right, 5 chapters all to be read back to back!

I am planning on each chapter being 5-10K words so it is fairly long, but if I stick with it and actually work on it, unlike my school work... *coughs*, then I should be fine with getting it out. I am giving no hints as to what it is about, no hints as to anything. No plot, no characters involved, nothing. It is my attempt at getting back into writing and I am putting all of my attention, that isn't directed at dealing with my shithead parents, my buggering school work, and my ever so fun (I do not mean that sarcastically) programming, working towards this. That being said, starting tonight, after I read three more chapters of a fic I have been ignoring, I will be continuing the first chapter and hopefully finishing it.

I do admit I already feel a slight bought of writer's block coming up so I hope I can fulfil my wanted 5 chapters. I will not release this fanfiction until I am absolutely, 110% certain it is the best I can do. I want nothing less than the best for my readers and my work. That being said, I will not burn myself out on it but will still work hard to get it out. It may have to have many tweaks from what I imagined but I want it to be something worth reading. Of course, I do plan on it getting some bad votes. I am trying not to give anything away but the sort of fanfiction I am writing has been known to cause a stir in the population of people who don't understand it. I should stop before I say something revealing...

Anyway, I need to get back to work! Have a fantastic night and I will see you next time when I give a progress update and other stuff I feel you should know! (it may be a long while before I post if that is the case...)

So, upon working on the first chapter some more I have found that with almost the entire first chapter finished I am not even hitting 2000 words. So, (and this is not definite but it is highly likely) I will likely be doing a one-shot instead of chapters, which I hate to do because I like using cliffhangers to make people want to read the next chapter. However, if I cannot figure out how to get each chapter to the amount of words I want then it would be best if I tried to get it all into one. If I can come up with a solution then I will definitely work towards it. Hell, most of my ideas revolve around chapter-based writing. Otherwise, it will feel very cluttered in a time-line. Things that would happen over days passing seem to me to be something best left in chapter. For instance, if the starting point and the ending point are spread across at least a week then chapters are really the best bet. So maybe I can try to figure something out for the first chapter, I just don't want to expend all of my ideas at the front and start repeating later on. Already I can tell that some of the story will be repeated without much new stuff in it, but I want each chapter to feature something new. A progression through the plot. So, when I figure it out I will post another blog with more details and a progress thing.
