[Pokemon OC] Galileo (Worked EXTREMELY Hard on This) · 11:40pm Apr 28th, 2016

Ever had an OC you really thought was good but didn't really want to display to the world because you believed it to be too childish? Yeah, that's pretty much me on a daily basis. Granted, I HAVE made OCs in the past and I do work with other people's OCs, but most of the time I'm just too shy to introduce a new character to my lineup. So, that's what I have for you today!

Get ready to meet Galileo! No picture because... I can't draw for shit...

Name: ??? / Galileo Castor
Trainer Class: Mysterious Figure / PKMN Trainer / World Hopper
Specialty: Fast Pokemon
Appearance: Fair skin; long black hair; dark grey robe surrounding body with two holes to allow for arms to come out; blue eyes; mega keystone on chest.
Personality: Silent, kind and patient when calm, but rash and destructive when angry; although seeming uncaring for most things at times, he truly cares for his younger sister and fate of his world.

Story

The player first meets him early in the game, reading some ancient scripts on the walls of a cave. Fascinated by them, he comments how they "might be able to save..." before his words drown out a bit. He then turns around and sees you for the first time, slightly surprised you were able to sneak up on him. He asks if you had ever lost something dear to you. If you answer yes, he nods and apologizes for your loss and comments how both you and him are alike in a way. If you answer no, he comments on how you wouldn't be able to comprehend what he feels. Either way, he decides to test your strength so far.

Battle 1:
Mysterious Figure ???

Croagunk

Level: 12
Type: Poison/Fighting
Ability: Dry Skin

Item: None

Zubat

Level: 14
Type: Poison/Flying

After defeating him, he quietly applauds you for a job well-done. He then takes his leave, but not before giving you a Quick Claw as a present for defeating him. Finally, he says that while the battle he had with you was fun, should you and him ever cross paths as enemies, he will utterly crush you. He then at last leaves the cave.

You meet him again not too long after you beat him (more specifically, the next town over). He appears to be inspecting the surrounding area around him. The game will not allow you to progress until you speak with him. Talking to him will make him greet you again and finally introduce himself as Galileo. He informs you that he's currently doing research and that you're not enemies at the moment. He then gives you a Black Sludge before taking his leave and saying he's looking forward to your next friendly battle with him.

Before the third gym, you meet him again; still surveying the city around him. He notices you and, without context, asks you if you believe in fate. If you answer yes, he agrees and explains that it may have been fate that brought him and you to encounter each other like this. If you answer no, he lowers his head a bit and sighs, disappointed you don't share his same ideas. Either way, he explains that somehow, something has lead them to battle once again. He tells you he's slightly afraid of this idea before engaging you in battle.

After the battle, he steps back a bit; surprised how he lost to you unlike last time when he merely congratulated you. He then turns around and explains to you that you are now enemies with him, clearly seeing now the threat you have on his plans. Before he leaves, he tosses you a Razor Claw and makes his exit.

You don't see Galileo again until a bit later in the game (more specifically, a bit after the sixth gym). You find him in a cave apparently working with the evil team of the game; Team Oblivion. He sees you as you enter Team Oblivion's Boss's room, speaking with the Oblivion Boss herself, Caroline. After a good, solid battle with Caroline, you notice Galileo escaping the room and into the next area. Following him leads you to a very large and open area with what appears to be a portal in the center. He explains that he is actually from a world very different from yours; a world that has been ravaged by war and destruction, and where Pokemon don't naturally exist.

He escapes through the portal and, being the main protagonist you are, you follow him, finally seeing his home world in a bleak and almost lifeless landscape. He encourages you to follow him, but warns you that some members of Team Oblivion have come through as well and will protect him with their lives.

After some encounters with Galileo's sister, Livia, you at last confront Galileo at the top of the Ruined Tower where he explains everything. The carvings in the cave where he first met you were actually further instructions on how to transport people and Pokemon between worlds that only a select few could read. He was able to transport through the dimensional barrier with a transport device of his own creation, but it was unfortunately a one-way trip, so he needed a stronger source of power. He soon learned of the Pokemon known as Hoopa and manipulated Team Oblivion with the promise of money to capture it and control its power of traveling through worlds.

It is here he finally reveals his plans; to repopulate his world with Pokemon again. He explains that after a huge war, most life in his world was wiped out, including all of the Pokemon. He aims to take all the Pokemon from your world with the power of Hoopa's portals and finally have the closure he so desires. Livia soon joins him and tells you that you'll be facing them one-on-two, laughing a bit all the while.

After the hard fight, Galileo yells in anger towards the sky, angered that this is the third time he's lost to you. He clutches his head and starts muttering things about destroying you and your Pokemon team before taking a deep breath and returning to normality. He explains that, while he may have been defeated here and now, he still has Hoopa and will begin the final steps of his plan, even if they're earlier than he originally expected them to be. He and Livia then leave, leaving behind a Wide Lens on the floor where he stood.

Subtle hints are placed before the battle with the eight Gym Leader about Galileo and his whereabouts, but it isn't until you defeat the final Gym Leader that you see him again. He explains that all preparations for his plan have been completed, and that he is the new leader of Team Oblivion, commanding the entire army of grunts left behind by Caroline. He also tells you that he's discovered something incredible about Hoopa that he believes will help further his plans past what he could even imagine. He then flies away on his Crobat back to his new Team Oblivion HQ out in the middle of the sea. Suddenly, Caroline appears and decides to help you after being betrayed by her team. She gives you the HQ Tracker that allows you to find Oblivion HQ, and the HM02 (Fly), pleading you to stop Galileo before he does something he regrets.

After fighting your way through the Oblivion HQ, there you find Galileo in the "Throne Room", sitting and waiting patiently for you to come closer and finally confront him. He then gets off his throne and greets you how he did back in the cave. He explains that you're too late and that everything he's been planning has gone better than he ever expected. Pressing a button, he moves his throne aside to reveal the imprisoned Hoopa, floating around attempting to escape the glass cell. Galileo explains the cell is made with a power-weakening material that renders Hoopa's powers useless while inside it.

He then reveals an item known as the Prison Bottle, which allows Hoopa to transform into a new form of itself. He uses it on the imprisoned Hoopa and turns it into its Unbound form, greatly increasing its power over portals and turning it completely insane. Galileo mentions how he'll be able to take all Pokemon and put them into his world without much trouble. He captures Hoopa in a Pokeball and looks right at you, telling you he's finished with fooling around; he's going all out in an attempt to absolutely crush you before he begins his worldwide heist.

Hoopa (Unbound)

Level: 60

Ability: Magician
Moves: Dark Pulse, Psychic, Embargo, Hyperspace Fury
Item: None
Gender: None

After the absolutely brutal battle, you come out victorious. Galileo, in an act of pure anger, unleashes the full power of Hoopa Unbound on you and orders it to use Hyperspace Fury on you. However, the previous battle with it weakened the Hoopa's Unbound state and forced it back into it's Confined form, breaking free of Galileo's control and stopping the attack before it killed you. Galileo attempts to escape, but only ends up getting caught by Hoopa and sent back into his own world. Before he is however, he mentions that so long as Hoopa exists, the bridge between his world and your world will stay open, and one day he hopes to come back and reassemble his plan. He's finally sent back to his world and never seen again in the game. Hoopa then waves goodbye and flies off, only seen again until you defeat the Champion.

Where Galileo stood is an object he used in the fight. You then obtain the Crobatite.

Galileo is mentioned post-game by Caroline when you go and meet with her at the Oblivion Hideout. She mentions that he had good intentions on bringing Pokemon back to his world, but the wrong moral ideas by taking every last one from this world. She regrets not being able to see that in time and perhaps stop this sooner, but promises to turn Team Oblivion around for the better.

So, how did you guys like that? I worked really hard on this one, and I really do appreciate you looking through it. I absolutely love Pokemon, and I absolutely love villains that are interesting and have challenging battles behind them. So if you put the two together, you get perfection at its greatest!

Now, it's your turn!

What would your Pokemon villain be like? What would their Pokemon team be and what would their battle theme be? Please post your ideas down below and I'll be sure to respond to them!

Thank you all so much for reading, and I'll see you guys next time!

Thanks! You won't BELIEVE how long it took to make this, what with all the research on Pokemon and stuff. :rainbowlaugh:

3903935 trust me, I know exactly how you feel.

Alrighty! That was cool.
Now for several hours of making a pokemon oc villain...

3904142
Thank you! See you tomorrow then! :rainbowlaugh:

I haven't fully conceived the story, but my idea for a villain in Pokémon is one who was a former scientist which was part of a group that was on the verge of making Pokémon/Human hybrids and it'd take the combined efforts of my self oc, who can turn into a Mewtwo, and the game's player character to stop him. I know the part about my oc being able to become a Mewtwo seems weird, yet Mewtwo is my go-to Kanto Legendary Pokémon.

3904443
Yeah, I'm not one for that kinda stuff, but I do know some people that can make it work.

3908791 Could be helpful to writing an appropriate story featuring the concept.

What does Caroline look like?

3923438
Hmm... Say, why don't I do that next time? :rainbowkiss:

3923451

What does she look like. I will bother you until you say.

3923451

Hey!! Where's my Caroline description?!!?

I told you I would return...
