A Long Time Coming

Hey all.

As any of you bothering to read this probably know, Rise from the Ashes hasn't been updated in... a very long time. And to be honest, has been barely touched since the last chapter release. I've gotten one or two scarce PMs from actual fans of the story - something that really surprised me, and gave me quite the warm fuzzy feeling - about its continuation. At this point, I'm afraid I must say that said continuation is likely not coming.

I'm caught in the midst of schoolwork, family issues, a cripplingly bad social life, and almost a dozen other hobbies that have overtaken me. And I find my will and desire to write waned to almost nothing over this past year. On top of all that, my ideas for the story have become scattered, and the end I envisioned was not what it was when this began. The differences between how I wrote then (almost 5 years ago now, to put things in perspective) and how I write now, as well as how I wish the story to go, are nigh unrecognizable. If I were to continue writing RftA, it would need a rewrite for at least the first four chapters.

I give my sincerest apologies to what fans of the story there were, but it's not likely to continue any time soon. If any of you wish to ask anything of me, please feel free to PM me. I'll admit I don't visit this site nearly as often as I once did, but I'll be sure to keep an eye on it for at least the next couple of weeks.

As sad as I am to see the Rise from the Ashes go unfinished, I can see and understand your reasoning I hope your Future endeavors go well and I wish you the best of luck.
