3868730 this one anime reviewer i watch, Glass Reflection, showed an example: it's just two characters staring at each other at a train station, one waiting by a car, another on the station. that was it for about a minute. there wasn't even any sound effects.

Is not that the show is bad, it's just too experimental. I'm not a big fan of it, and I prefer Hideaki Ano when he's not depressed (like his EPIC! Gunbuster), but being fair, Evangelion really has that much quality and it's probably as influential in anime as Watchmen was in comics.
3868958 i'm not denying the action. for a early Gainax production, the action was damn good. it's everything else that was... not my style.
