So, today, April 11th, 2016, is an important day in Idle Holding Pattern, and you'll see why when I post my next chapter. The day I post it will also be important, for another reason entirely.
On another note, I may occasionally go back and add or tweak a detail or two in an already published chapter, (aka "retcon," or retroactive continuity,) that I feel didn't have enough detail, but I will keep this to an absolute minimum. I'm not Andrew Hussie, after all.
Another thing: I write in a weather unconventional manner. I do the same thing I did in my English classes back in high school, which actually worked surprisingly well for me: I have a sort of vague idea about the big picture of what I want to put into words, a few spots of clarity on certain events, and I sort of let them connect themselves. It's fun to let it unfold in this way, so I sort of get to experience the whole thing from a reader's perspective as well, especially looking back at past chapters.
But I don't get cocky about it, that's the important bit. I just let it flow.
Maybe I'll do a post on what got me started writing my story here next time... If anyone's interested.
