"Those Who Live On" Side Stories · 1:45am Apr 11th, 2016
Hello, readers! It's been a long while since I've made one of these, but I figure it's appropriate to do one with the next project on the horizon.
As anybody who read the comments of the Epilogue will know, I mentioned that I was considering doing some side stories to extend the universe of my last two fics. Lately I have been brainstorming ideas, and today I began writing for one of them. They're all fairly small, and can be considered "self-contained," where the events of one story do not necessarily affect the events of another.
I'm not sure when the first few stories will be published, but I won't really be adding new ones too often. As was the case with much of Those Who Live On, it is still difficult for me to find time to write. Therefore, these stories will serve more as exercises to get the creative juices flowing, and to help me come up with ideas for my next large-scale project. Still, I will try to write whenever I get an opportunity.
As for ideas, I currently have a list of seven potential shorts that take place in the Those Who Live On universe. One is nearing completion, while the rest are still in planning stages. But one of the great things about side stories is that there is no limit to what can be written. There is no set beginning and end due to the self-contained style, and there are infinite possibilities for plots. I obviously cannot come up with infinite ideas, so if you have any idea for a short you'd like to see written, just let me know either in the comments of this post, or in a private message.
I'll keep you all updated to the best of my ability, but the next post from me probably won't come until the submission of the first side story. Thank you all for enjoying Those Who Live On, and thank you for (hopefully) sticking with me into its extended universe!
