My Little Second Pony Life: Episode 6 · 5:53am Apr 6th, 2016

So I found some time to log on to Second Life today, and managed to catch this cool pony avatar:

After looking at my previous avatar pictures, I decided I needed to brighten my mane a bit:

Still no name for my OC yet. 'Punkin' serves as a placeholder, I guess?

The first thing I saw logging in today was this ragtag bunch all chatting in the Trotsdale hangout:

They were talking about Obamacare of all things. I was anti-social and just eavesdropped most of the time. Later, I logged in to the same area again only to catch a conversation about Ted Cruz liking Applejack, which then slipped into a discussion of the US 2016 presidential race. Ugh, these people do not make it easy for a new mare to make friends, do they!?

I know these two aren't ponies, but I really like these anthro avatars. I believe the feline is a variation of the same kind of anthro avatar I have, called the Solarian. I shared pics of my cat girl in another blog post.

I don't think I've shared this one, right? I didn't actually screenshot this today, but it was from one of my shorter sessions a while ago. The standing pony avatars are interesting, but I think they look sort of awkward...

I LOVED this avatar! Her hair color wasn't just static, it moved. I have no idea what mods they're using, but I want it!

I also visited a Fallout Equestria sim, finally:

It's about as grim and desolate as you'd expect!

I didn't catch anyone RPing, unfortunately, but the sim looks really cool. I wish I could have taken better shots, but it's kind of hard capturing the essence of the place with stills, especially since I'm using my laptop and not my desktop tonight.

What I'd really like to do is delve further into the MLP community on Second Life instead of just passively ~~stalking~~ observing, but to do that, I kind of have to participate in some of the RPs and special events. Since I missed some of the past events in the sims I frequent, I'll just have to see what other ones I might be able to check out. I'm still wary of trying out the RPs, but I DID get free Rainbow Dash and Applejack mods for my pony avatar. I could try joining one of the many RP groups and giving that a shot with one of those.
