Sneak peak at a new story. · 8:49am Apr 4th, 2016

My first story is on hold cause I'm just not comfortable writing it anymore. My writing style has changed since I wrote those stories. So, after reading the Arrow 18 Mission logs, a fantastic work of literature, I decided to make a new story. Link to Arrow 18 Mission Logs: Lone Ranger
So, here it is. A sneak peak at my new story, "A million miles from home."

International Times. September 35th, 2353.
BREAKING NEWS The experimental spaceplane Dawn has exploded. The spaceplane, carrying 6 people, was carrying the new experimental 'Lightbringer' Hyper drive, which gave the craft the ability for interplanetary travel. The test was going fine until the space plane exited the atmosphere, where the fusion reactor began to over heat, due to causes that are unknown at the time. The reactor reached a supercritical state in minutes, causing the destruction of the spaceplane. The spaceplane was carrying 6 people, including Trigonometry teacher Veronica French, who won the recent contest that the Interplanetary Agency had held. After receiving the news, President Clarence Walters had a message.

"Today, a tragic event claimed the lives of 6 people. We want to explore space. We want to gather resources and expand our civilization. We want to know what the universe has in store for us. To do this, we must make sacrifices. Attempts at getting it right, so that no one else will get killed from the perils of space. I promise to make sure that these space companies are using the safest of crafts.I promise to make sure that the death of the crew of the Dawn will never happen again."

When the President of the Interplanetary Agency, Dallas Bowman, was questioned about the event he responded saying simply "This was the one thing we didn't want to happen." A memorial service will be held next week for the 6 crew members, and a statue will be erected at the Graveyard of Heroes some point soon.

There you have it. I'm writing the first chapter as we speak. I should be done with it soon.
