I decided to make blog posts to let people know I'm alive and writing my stories for you all.
I can confirm that right now I am writing chapter 3 Of a Thousand Mixes and it will be done tonight.

In the authors notes I will make mention of a dilemma I was having recently on the theme of the story that needed to be outlined.
I called this the Identity Crisis because I sat down for a moment and realized that the story I was writing was a tragedy and not a run of the mill sad story.
How did I discover this? School.

That is right I'm in my senior year in High school taking English 4. The first Unit of the class was Greek Theater. Specifically
it was about tragedy, a story that starts with happiness and ends with sorrow or demise. Then I noticed that it was the same route I was taking with "Of a Thousand Mixes".
However in the end I, the writer, determine the out come of this story so not all stories with tragedy must end with demise.

For "Of a Thousand Mixes" It will end with a change. Will it be a good or bad change? That will be up to you guys to determine. Moral of this blog? Stay in school kids! You never know what you will learn. So lets talk about romance next.

Lovey dubby sappy dappy Romance. Forgive the colloquial phrase but this is indeed part of the story. Romantic Tragedy? I bet most of you have seen the movie "Stranger Than Fiction", starring Will Ferrell.

If you seen it then you know how it works. Still don't get it? Think Romeo and Juliet, without the forbidden love part. Romantic Tragedy is strong and emotionally sad, or funny with a pang of sadness at the end, like "Stranger Than Fiction". I wont say the endings of both theatrical works will spell the ending at all for "Of a Thousand Mixes", in fact they will have no influence on the story what so ever. Just outlining the two can be put together.

So to see if anyone is paying attention, it may be to early to leave a comment regarding the state of the protagonists love life, since only one love interest has been introduced so far and its too early in the story to determine if he likes anything about her than just her bar tending skills and physique.

The question now. What do you guys think about romance in a story about tragedy, betrayal, and conspiracy. Do you think it is used for "relief" of tension in the story? Or is it something that can deepen the plot of the story and expand the the story even further by lovers exchanging their pasts, and their secrets? Or is it just a distraction, or a gimmick?

Leave your comments below and look forward to the next chapter of , "Of a Thousand Mixes", coming soon.
