Signal Boosting a Couple of Stories · 8:00pm Mar 5th, 2016

Hello, everyone. I'd like to recommend a couple of stories for you all to read whenever you get a chance. I know I quite enjoyed them, so maybe you'll have some fun reading them, as well.

Run for the Roses by 8686; and Weatherpony by HapHazred.

Rating: [T]
Genre Tags: [Drama], [Slice of Life]

Description:

A horse walks into a bar...

One evening a despondent Applejack walked into Ponyville’s tavern. The next morning she was gone without a trace.

In the days following her disappearance the inn’s landlord recounts events in Ponyville as the town searches for its lost friend, struggling to understand why she left, and where she went.

Rating: [T]
Genre Tags: [Adventure], [Thriller]

Description:

When the weather factory in Cloudsdale suffers a catastrophic failure, weatherponies and Wonderbolts alike are scrambling to salvage the situation. Among them is a weatherpony whose special talent, her very reason to be, is to control and harness the weather's power, and she might well be Cloudsdale's best and last hope.

Her name is Windy Weathertop, and she is the only Earth pony in the weatherpony corps.

Aw, thanks, mate.

Funny story: last time I checked, Weatherpony is actually the third least viewed story to ever get into the Feature Box? That's right: I was two stories away from beating a site record! : D

I was actually going to use that fun fact to promote it on SSPB tomorrow.

I do enjoy fun facts, they give me an excuse to post this image:

3792816 And we have all left this blog post more knowledgeable than before! : D

I might check out the other one if it's cropped up on TGB. That said, it will be sad to step away from my recent string of rejections. I'm on a roll, you see.

Ah well. No matter.

if it's cropped up on TGB.

Submittited it myself last month! :scootangel:

3792890 Somehow, I figured you did. You're a rather regular submitter, if I'm not much mistaken.

I do sumit stories somewhat regularly, yeah. I actually have a list of all the stories I've submitted since May of last year (though I did skip either June or July, I don't remember which one), plus a list of stories I plan to submit eventually.

3792905 Not a bad thing. I've been going through some of the stories not submitted by the author, and sometimes I get confused why people submit some things. The recent ones I've looked at had barely begun.

Then there's the weird ones. I had to learn what mellisophilia was! Do you have any idea what's been going through my brain since then? Besides buzzing, that is.

I'll probably get around to it sooner rather than later. I tried reading Littlehorn, but since I've neither read Past Sins or Fallout Equestria, the lack of context makes me feel like I wouldn't be doing it proper justice.

...I'm not sure I'd want to know. :rainbowderp:

Now you know. Have fun with that, darling.

It's odd. The line between stupid ideas and brilliant ideas is usually just a good lick of paint and a bit of imagination. I've had the privilege and misfortune of seeing both.
