Thursday is upon us, time for a story post.
I'm going to talk a little bit about Amber Waves, Sombra's throne pet in the Tyrant of Fear and Hate.
As usual this goes a little into spoiler territory so if you aren't reading the story yet:
Sombra's little pet Crystal Pony's predicament was sort of inspired by Jay-The-Brony's story The Violation of Sombra where Amber is one of the victims of Sombra's more carnal desires.
I decided to just take it into a even darker direction. 
Make her Sombra's personal love slave or as he likes to call her, his pet.
Amber Waves is not an original character, she is in fact a background pony from the show. She is the one who keeps running in the Crystal Empire two parter, be it from Rainbow Dash who is trying to get her excited about the Crystal Fair or from King Sombra himself. In fact she tries to run away from him but runs smacks right into him. There were many speculations about Amber Waves and her words of how she couldn't take it and attempted escape and some wondered if Sombra had in fact done something exceptionally nasty to her specifically.
I took that idea and ran like crazy with it.
You get that feeling, don't you, that Amber had more, er, personal issue with Sombra than most others. Her vision of his eyes early on in the episode and her voice when she sees him when he finally breeches the shield defenses and dives for the crystal heart is pretty telling of something she really does not want to relive about his reign.
Thanks for the link to The Violation of Sombra, Askre. It was one of those stories that I missed putting on my list. It really deserves more notice than it got. It's amazingly well done in its subtly about what happened to her, done in a tasteful way that is sadly lacking in the more blatantly sexual stories around FIMFic. A refreshing change!
3790641 That was certainly my thought when I first saw the episode, her freakout was quite a bit different than the others who were more content on just running around in general panic.
Jay the Brony writes a lot of good one shots and browsing through his stories way back, it was a pleasant surprise to find this one.
