Live A Live art · 7:35pm Mar 1st, 2016
Did some hand-drawn art of ponified versions of two of the characters from the over-looked(due to lack of export) but still awesome classic SNES-era JRPG "Live A Live".
Oersted the knight and his wizard friend Straybow from the Medieval Chapter...
Dunno how many people remember this RPG but I recommend it. Its story is separated into different "chapters" taking place in different time periods, featuring heroes whose adventures are seemingly unrelated to one-another until its finale that ultimately connects them all together. Each chapter has compelling stories, each with its own variety of what the player must do, and a unique but easy to learn battle system, and a very intriguing villain. Its one nitpick I do admit is many of the chapters have a lack of clues on what to do next, that you may find yourself consulting guides often.
Do you count English translations by fans? I didn't play the full game but one or two moments. Fan Translations are the best (points to Mother 3) and how I get to play games I would never get to play. Its one of the huge reasons I don't like Japan (It's not that I hate Japan, its more of a friendly hate because it's shit like this that I hate... where they hide good games from us)
If you like dragons, I recommend you play Emerald Dragon. Has a slightly cliche story, but I personally enjoyed it. I may not have played a ton of Live a Live but I have heard of it and played a small amount of it.
3786382 It's a terrific game, the fan-translations were well-done and the game's a lot of fun. I strongly recommend giving it another go.
